Who has better BJJ then Vinny in that weight class?

Oh in that weight class? I thought you were talking across MMA, my bad.

I would say Damon Maia has the best BJJ in MMA. I know Cash would agree with me.

I think Xande, Jacare, Marcelo Garcia, Roger Gracie and Andre Galvao would also have to be included if we are talking just BJJ.

They all have fought mma. I think Galvao 3-0 and Jacare 10-2 have the most potential, IMO.

Pure BJJ in the LHW division yes, MMABJJ no. There is a difference.

Add Robert Drysdale to that list as soon as he starts fighting mma which will be very soon.

no doubt, I had him in mind. I think he had one amateur bout he won by armbar. Not sure what weight he is going to be at.

He should be able to cut to MW if he wants too?

Yeah, I think he'd be best at MW. Not sure if he'd want to cut that much weight right off the bat. I don't think he cuts much less than that 205 for BJJ. Could be wrong though.

Looks like he doesn't cut anything at all for bjj. He normally fights in the 99kg class for bjj which equals about 218 pounds.

I bet he fights at LHW at first, and if he gets out muscled he will cut to MW.

Well I wanna say he won the mundials at 94kg, 207lbs. Plus you have to weigh in with your gi on. So then that extra weight depends on his gi. So I figured he had to cut to around 202ish. eta: Gi and No-Gi have different weight classes.

I can agree with that as well.

One thing that did strike me after his last fight was when he said that he liked how he can beat his opponents without really hurting them. I just wonder how he will fare if he ever gets into a war in there with somebody.

Well that was what I was talking about. MMABJJ would have elements of wrestling involved as well IMO along with defending stuff that isn't BJJ with BJJ.
