I don't see how anyone can complain about Silva in that fight. How can he fight someone who doesn't want to fight?

please explain the first 2 rounds before Leites starting flopping and Anderson refused to throw ANYTHING of significance

Did you watch the first 2 rounds? Silva did not do anything for the first 3 minutes of the fight and very little there after I mean NOTHING at all for the first 3 minutes!!!!!!!!!

Apparently we are the only 2 that had a clear feed of the first 2 rounds. Oh and Joe Rogan.

Have you ever watched Silva fight? He always feels out his opponent in the first round, atleast for the past 4-5 fights. I'll watch it again, but all I remember is numbnuts flopping like it was soccer to try and get Silva to get on the ground with him.

but still the strikes he threw he connected.

why expend so much energy throwing so many strikes with less of them connecting just to entertain a bunch of fans. silva outclassed leites big time. and why mess up on one mistake to risk giving up position.

if some of you think this was boring then u shouldn't watch royce gracie and sakuraba fight for 90 minutes.

I'm sorry I'm not a fricking well versed MMA fan like yourself. Please forgive my simplistic nature.

I wanted to see Silva knock him out. The 2 min of grappling was decent and the Silva knee kicks were semi entertaining. Other than that, the fight sucked arse. And yeah, the reason i watch is to see guys get knocked the fricked out, but I also enjoy a good submission.

Have you? Before the Leites and Cote fights, Silva ended 7 of his previous 10 fights in the first round. His "feeling out period" never lasted 2 and 3 rounds like they have these last 2 fights

apparently you dont enjoy a good submission.

i don't appreciate your sarcasm. you have to realize not every fight can end by a knockout. not to mention he finished off the majority of his opponents. sometimes fights go to decisions. big deal.

Hear me out on this. Chuck Liddell would out class him too because u can't take Liddell down. All Leites showed is if he can't get you on the ground, he's toast. The exact thing would have happen with someone like Liddell. He would have been baiting Chuck to go the ground with him after he realized he couldn't take him down and got tired of being punched in the face.

In those fights he countered. Hard to counter when the other guy throws 5 punches in 5 rounds, then flops on the ground 100 times.

I don't have to see a knockout to be entertained. This fight sucked and its more on Leites than Silva imo.

I think what pisses everyone off is that most people think, including myself is that he could have ended the fight.
Rogan wasn't overly critical of Silva, but he still had the WTF is this guy doing in his tone of voice.

The first two rounds were two of the worst two rounds I have ever seen in a TITLE fight.

It ranked up there with the Silva-Arlovski 3 fight.

but why should anderson silva change his whole style of fighting just to get a knockout? especially when the other guy doesn't want to exchange.

man you guys would have boo'ed at helio gracie back in the day for fighting in a 3hr and 45 minute match.

Liddell was never on his back FWIW! The average time Liddell has spent on his back is 13 secs. I don't think his back ever touched the mat tonight.

Yea, your probably right on that one. Sounds more entertaining watching a marathon runner.
