I would think that having an elite fighter like Randy Couture fighting some 405 pound fat slob that fell on top of him and got a win would not be very good for the sport.

The good ole days.

That's my thought too.

Looks like Jerry Lawler vs. Abdullah the Butcher.

just saw the press conference. Thaigo Silva is plain scary. He may lose to Machida but I would piss in my pants if he stared at me.

According to Dana White's Video Blog, BJ told GSP at the press conference during the photoop staredown that George has too much weight to cut and that he'll be weak. GSP told BJ "we'll see."

BJ and his mind games are weak and lame. BJ needs to worry about BJ. He better hope to beat GSP by the third round, cuz I can't see BJ doing anything afterwards.

We know the mind games are weak and lame already? GSP has proven to be mentally weak more than once.

that certainly has a lot to do with your point on the mental games

when has GSP lost due to mental games? Fighting Hughes in Hughes' prime? Maybe. Tapping out due to strikes with Serra? I don't think so. I doubt very seriously GSP is scared of BJ and his talk.

On the other hand (back to my point), BJ needs to worry about BJ. BJ beats BJ more than anyone else.

The first Hughes fight, GSP himself admits he was shitting in his pants because it was his hero instead of trying to win the fight.

And yes the Serra fight, he clearly looked past him and got caught.

GSP is mentally weak any way you want to slice it.

and BJ Penn is often an unmotivated, fat slacker. Pick your poison.

I don't think he's weak enough to fear BJ and his immature WWE tactics and especially someone who weighs less and has a tendency to gas.

Meh, I wouldn't say that. I surely don't think GSP will be mentally weak for this fight anyway, having already won a decision against Penn. Penn has improved since that fight, but I think you will agree not as much as GSP has improved since that time. I still maintain B.J. will be the better fighter in the early rounds, but this time GSP is going to be too strong, too heavy, and to skilled for B.J. to keep off of him once he gets gassed. I'm assuming you are taking B.J. in the early rounds? (I didn't go back and look.)

right. Penn tries to play mind games, but the problem is the Penn is half retarded, or in living in a dream world. hey BJ, you aren't some magical Hawaiian warrior, you're a fortunate boozer who is lucky that professional MMA exists.

Too much the other way. B.J. IMO has the most God given Talent of anyone in MMA. That flexibility is insane and his skill with that is insane. He just doesn't take it all seriously enough IMO. He could dominate that 155 class for another 5 or 6 years if he wanted to though IMO.

Homeboy does have a screw loose, it wouldn't surprise me if he meant every word of this.
