Of course they do. Man just won a fight by hugging Aldo to death

Hugging him or not it’s on Aldo to make something happen.

How do you get awarded the win when you failed to do what you tried against your opponent 11 out of 11 times? There should be something to be said for being able to defend.

What did Aldo do? He controlled Aldo.

He was plenty active up against the cage for the overwhelming majority of the time there except for just once or twice in the last round. There were almost constant knees and those shoulder strikes were legit. Like he said, Jose should have done something about it if he didn't want to be there.

I'm all for booing lazy shite, but this wasn't it.

So 100% failed takedowns with no striking and just pushing somebody against the ropes the entire fight = win. fricking bullshite.

Yeah plenty active failing every single takedown. You shouldn't get awarded for trying and failing every time.

The striking wasn't overwhelmingly in favor of one or the other. So control and aggression becomes a thing in making a decision.

Aldo jabbed him to death and countered him well. What does control mean when it’s just a dude pushing someone up against a cage for 10 minutes. Is that even fighting?

If that's really all you saw, then I'm not sure anyone in this thread is going to be able to help you.

This was the definition of boring lazy shite to me.

Those shoulder shrugs and foot steps were nothing.

Appreciate the opinion. Still disagree with your assessment.

I'm not sure this sport is for you. You'll be a lot happier just watching the fight recaps the next day.
