Mike we are gonna redo your deal, we are going to give you 1 mill per fight, we are going to put you in the hall of fame, and we are gonna put you on the desk and if everything works out move you into commentating. You know what you gotta do.

There is just so much money that’s gonna be lost if Conor loses this fight.

Wouldn’t surprise me. Chandler is a company man and will be doing whatever to get paid like sitting out 1.5 years to hit a Hail Mary red panty night. If you into that, nothing wrong with it. But that’s the difference between someone like chandler and Islam/Khabib. They won’t even think about taking a dive for 100 million dollars.

Of course if he hits that guilly it will be up there with all time great moments in mma history.

There's no way Islam will tap to that Guillotine, just like Khabib didn't snd just like St Denis didn't.

Islam will do enough to survive if Dustin gets it, then Porier's arms will be smoked and he will be on the ground in a perfect position for Islam to mount.

It's a total lose-lose for Dustin to even try. And I'm sure his coaches are telling him that right now, but he still won't listen to them.. Clearly demonstrated in his last fight.

He needs that early KO (Rd 1-2) otherwise I don't think he can survive the fight.

I love the diamond but this would be up there with Strickland beating Adesanya as far as upsets go. Anything is possible in the fight game but I dont see a scenario where Dustin isnt strangled to end the fight.

When he was younger Islam used to have a tendency to try to show his striking and trade blows with guys when he easily could have taken them down and smothered them for a win.

It seems like he has gotten out of that as champion, but he has also kind of gone after what the other guy does best (Charles on the ground and Volk on the feet) his last few fights.

I also don't think he he is stupid enough to try to stand blow for blown with Dustin because we just saw how that went with a supposed killer in the St Denis fight.

I think there is a ton of respect for Porier in the Khabib/Aka/Islam camp. They know this is probably a Islam's toughest fight as a title holder and will adjust as such. (I don't think they respected Charles at all). I think the goal is to get Dustin down and submit him. Why even take the chance of standing in a box with one of the best brawler's the division has ever seen.

The one time Islam lost, him and his coach wanted to show off his striking and win standing up. Khabib's father disagreed with that game plan and wanted Islam to stick to grappling, but for some reason they went against his wisdom. Must be hard for Islam to live with that, it seems so brash and foolish in retrospect. He'd have a perfect record if he had just listened. Islam was Khabib's father's favorite student. That loss was Khabib's father's biggest regret. You can watch this story here: Khabib's Father Warned Islam

Also here, you can hear Khabib telling Islam to relax and the striking coach reminding him about head movement--right before he gets hit. Kind of like they knew he was in danger: Khabib Reacts to Islam's Only Loss in MMA

MMA Guru was saying that Islam no longer lunges into striking exchanges offensively, that he's now more of a defensive counter striker and that he uses more kicks. So Dustin might have to be the one to go first and get in close to Islam. Then Dustin has to worry about overextending and getting taken down. Just nothing but problems to solve against Islam.

MMA Guru was actually saying that he thinks Islam is better than Khabib--that Islam has better striking, better grappling, better submissions, and better finishing than Khabib.

Islam for sure is a better striker than Khabib, I don't agree that he's a better grappler though.

Islam will for sure test the waters and stand with Dustin for at least a bit, his striking is really good and continues to be overlooked, Dustin should be on the lookout for that sneaky leg kick.

I would pick Khabib if it was Khabib vs. Islam in an MMA fight. I would also pick Khabib over Islam against other fighters. Khabib is the leader of that whole crew and has kind of a big brother vibe to Islam. That smirk of Islam's--he's a bit cocky / arrogant. That's why he has the one loss. Khabib is more humble / mature.

There’s a language barrier. MF is a slang for us for for them Russians, they take it literally.
