yeah im just conflicted because I want to go to 279 but its such a dogshit card I am having 2nd thoughts.

I am pumped about cruz and vera tomorrow. gonna be interesting to see if vera can push forward on cruz and make him unable to use his crazy footwork or if cruz will be able to outpoint him. I like both guys but I have always been a huge fan of cruz so I am hoping he can hold off the young dogs a little longer.

Why waste this card during the day on a college football saturday?

Prob not a bad move. Gonna be some boring games that people can switch off of.

People don't dislike Omalley because of what the does inside the Octagon. It's the things that he say that rubs people the wrong way.

Nah it's the stupid fricking hair. I don't listen to what he says. I think he acts like a bitch sometimes in the ring with his basketball moves. He seems like a huge tool IRL. He also cuts a ton of weight so that he is always in the ring with a smaller guy.

I get why he does it but the dude just tries so damn hard to build a ‘brand’ that it comes off as fake..

He talks way too much shite for a guy with his resume in the UFC

Im indifferent to him. Like i said in the other thread, his two biggest challenges ended up with a loss and a dq and 2 excuses. I usually gain respect for guys that take their L with some dignity and respect. I see his potential but I wonder if he got that dog in him to beat the tougher guys. About to find out with yan, although i think he matches up well physically with yan.

I get it too but some of that shite comes off as so phony or stupid. It might get him some attention but it doesn't earn respect. MMA fans don't want to see some fake arse punk talking a bunch of bullshite. We want to see real bad asses. Look back at the history of the sport and find me a fake tough guy that anybody respected. Look at Fedor. The guy never said anything. Nothing flamboyant. No stupid hair cuts. Just a straight up bad arse and every fight fan across the world respected him. McGregor talked a lot of shite but it seemed genuine bc people thought he really was this loudmouth Irish bastard. Diaz brothers talk a lot of shite but its their real personality. Nobody really respects OMalley bc he's playing a character for the TV.

I have not been actively watching the UFC for a few years and only know one name on that list. I need to get back to watching it again.

I don’t really care for him but I’ll give him some credit, I tune in everytime he fights in hopes that he loses, so his promo BS is effective in a way, I guess

I think he’s good, but he’s still a douche in my opinion. If he beats yan, or puts up a good fight and takes an L like a man, I might reconsider

damn you've missed some of the best years. Starting with the covid year, it's been banger after banger.

Id say chael and colby. Not that they werent tough bad motherfrickers. Both guys had equal haters and fans but both were respected even though they put on an act.

Yeah def. Honestly its been a great product for the last 5-10 years, although they did seem to battle an issue with canceled fights that seems to have improved alot since covid.

The product outside of the ppv’s has been spectactular also. Between the contender series and the fight night type cards there is alot of great content even if you dont want to watch and pay for the ppv.

They were respected because they fought their asses off.

But the point about it making them more money can't be ignored. It's valid and I can't knock a guy for making his money. But I don't have to respect or like all that bullshite bravado.
