Nah, give Leon someone else before the rematch. He said he wants Masvidal but not sure Jorge deserves a title shot. And don't forget Meatball Molly will be on the card too.

Masvidal absolutely doesnt deserve a title shot. Usman deserves a rematch but likely chimaev gets the fight after the diaz mauling.

Edwards is gonna fight Usman next unless Usman can't go in a reasonable amount of time.

I've been watching since 2006 and the only thing that compares is Anderson submitting Sonnen in their first fight after getting dominated for 23 or 24 minutes.

But Silva was just getting dominated. He didn’t quit, or look disinterested. That’s what bothers me about this. If he had just been getting dominated by a better fighter and pulled out a miracle, amazing.

This dude quit. Everyone saw it. For 3 and a half rounds he quit. One hail mary knockout blow doesn’t change that he looked like a bitch. And I don’t say that lightly about a fighter. His own coach all but said it.

Zero chance, Usman was being propped as best ever by UFc, Edwards and Usman run it back next barring injury

Speaking of that, does Dana do Edwards v McGregor at Wembley? It would be a license to print money.

I don't know if you remember, or care, but I wanted to apologize for the last fight thread. I was an unwarranted jackass and felt the need to acknowledge that.

This narrative that he gave up is just false. He was getting beat badly, his kick was a hail mary, but he never mailed it in.

It wasn’t a narrative. He absolutely was mailing it in. Usman saw it, Leon’s corner saw it, the announcers saw it, Din Thomas said it. What the frick were you watching?

Usman saw it at the end of the second round I think it was. Usman saw that Edwards stopped trying. At one point Usman just slowly walked straight up to Edwards, got close, grabbed a leg and took Edwards down, without Edwards even attempting to defend any of it.

So what’s the deal with Usman grabbing his nuts right as Buffer says “by knockout….”?

This. He threw a Hail Mary and it worked. He gathered himself, didn’t throw a strike for almost 30 secs and then let’s that go as 1 last shot. Props to the man. It all counts the same but he was in the process of acceptance. Unfortunately for Usman, He was also in the process of setting up one last strike

Wonder if Usman regrets faking getting hit in the nuts in the 5th round now.
