Yet Anderson Silva would weigh 220 prior to starting his camp to make 185

Yeah he’s a dumbass

Khabib can easily win the world championship in combat sambo again

I’d like to see him grapple against Gordon Ryan or a Craig Jones

Exactly that. I asked about a specific fighter’s next fight and was unapologetically told he had been shelved. When I remarked that it’s probably happening to others as well, the person telling me just smiled. Wondering if it’s specific to this fighter or across the board.

They have been clearing out the roster of old dudes that have no chance of winning the belt to make room for young talent.

Outside of that don’t they have to offer fighters fights contractually? Don’t see how they could shelve anyone

Really what? Yes, I was told this, not exactly in secrecy but I still don’t want to put his business out there unless he tells me it’s okay. I’ll ask if I can share the fighter name when I see them next, they may want the story out there. It was no accident they told me. I was merely trying to figure out if it’s just his camps take on the negotiations or if there’s something bigger going on beneath the surface. I know many of you are close to fighters, just wondering if this talk is going on regularly or an isolated situation.

I’ll check but I think this fighter is already under contract but they aren’t booking him, that’s what I took from it anyway.

Thug Nasty hasn't fought since Halloween and I have heard of no plans for any fights coming up or seen his name on any upcoming cards.

Something seems suspicious there. He headlined a Fight Night, won by decision, but it was a bit of a struggle at times, and then said some headline making stuff about kids wearing masks and how it wasn't good for them psychologically.

He was/is a rising star in the UFC and nobody has heard a peep out of him for almost 6 months.

Gordon is a big guy tho he’s 6-2 225 He would have a huge size advantage over khabib. He also just signed with One FC to begin his mma career.

That’s more in line with what I’m talking about. I don’t know his specific contract details. Prize fighting has always been crooked.

His rant made me shed a tear. I don’t see how that would make a difference Dana seems to be 100% against the covid BS.

I saw that which was why I then mentioned Craig Jones since khabib is closer to his size

Or Ryan hall and Gordon Ryan

That being said my jiu jitsu teacher’s professor is Flavio Almeida and is expected to compete again at a major ibjjf university event this year

He is, and he always said his fighters can say whatever they want, but I also bet he doesn't like bad publicity on guys who are getting a push, which Thug Nasty obviously was.

Maybe it's on his end and he wants to take some time away (I don't know why, he's undefeated in UFC), who knows. But He and O'Malley were kind of two big personality bright spots a year ago. One tore his knee to shreds and gets on a huge card less than a year later.

The other seems to have disappeared.

I also didn't know Gordan Ryan was now in MMA. That's a huge get for One FC. He'll probably be in the UFC in a couple of years. With his ground skills I don't know how he doenst become a top contender really quickly.

Yeah he recently signed and the whole danaher death squad train out of Puerto Rico

Hard to believe he’s 25 and his younger brother isn’t too bad himself

Justin G mma fighting interview

Guess Justin is politely calling it out now. Had I known he cut this interview last week I would have lead with it. He knows the fighter I’m referencing very well.

Gaethje was kind of all over the place but he definitely doesn’t deserve a title shot. Would he have fought a guy like dariush? Or is he gonna wait to get a matchup with one of the top guys. Like someone else said, he is calling for a title shot and saying Conor shouldn’t get a title shot but basically he and Conor both lost to both poirier and mcgregor so what is the difference. He made the argument against himself and looked stupid.

Poirier deserved the title shot but he turned it down to chase Conor. Oliviera is the next guy that deserves it and he is in. After that who deserves it if poirier isn’t in? Chandler stepped up for the company and hasn’t turned down any fights and brutally knocked out a guy that went the distance with poirier and was highly ranked.

Seems like the situation is sorting itself out. Gaethje fricked up by not booking a fight with someone like dariush and keeping his name in the picture. His record is 5-3 in the ufc.

but yeah, Garbrandt ain't stupid, attack the legs and shoot here and there, and Cody outscores him.

ehhh you watch any Garbrandt fights the last 3 years?

Additionally, Garbrandt ain't ever tried to outpoint anyone. He'll plant his feet and bang and O'Malley likely kicks his face off his cranium.

Did Danaher just shut his whole NY operation down?

I don't blame him, obviously, because of the bullshite Cuomo and NY pulled, but I figured he could have gone to Florida or somewhere else in the US that was open with a bigger, richer population and a better place to live.

Yeah, I’m not super clear on all the aspects of Justin’s situation. I do know that he wants, has wanted, to fight and can’t get one.

When a champ quits after whipping everyone in a division, there should be a tournament, not single fight, that determines the new champ.
