Volkenovski's measly takedowns should not have won him that fight, either.
Agreed especially since Max dominated most the fight
Volk took him down and Max got right back up
Usman for the most part was able to take Jorge down and then keep him down

And it makes me not want to buy another card and just illegally stream it
The quality of the illegal stream last night was top notch
Glad I didn’t pay for it

Also, I’m staying with my preflight prediction. I knew usman would dismantle Masvidal, but that sets up:
Usman/Burns
Masvidal/Covington
Then
The winner of usman/burns will wait and fight the winner of Masvidal/Covington versus the loser of the title fight (burns/usman)
That’s four big time money fights for one division. Only way these fights don’t happen is if Edwards gets a shot
If I had to make a prediction I’d say
Burns beats Usman (c)
Colby beats Masvidal
Usman beats Colby in their rematch to get usman a chance to get his belt back
Usman vs Burns (c)
And once Masvidal is out of the title picture he’ll fight Diaz again
Usman/Burns
Masvidal/Covington

Looked like Khabib mauling people
I know that Khabib has had some less than impressive fights earlier in his UFC career, but please find me a fight where Khabib stomped on a fighters feet for 15 minutes or sat in a gassed fighter’s open guard for 2 or 3 minutes
ETA: that’s not to say that I begrudge fighters for doing boring shite in title fights. There’s a lot on the line

Usman won but he’s a PPV nightmare. I can’t see fans rushing to buy a PPV where he’s the main.

Look at those toe stomps! Brutal!

Rules aren’t handicapping strikers at all They never have
Most fights hardly end in submission these days.

Yeah it was a dumb argument. 20 years ago yes, but now everyone is so well rounded very few fighters are capable of dominating by just wrestling. Even guys that can wrestlefrick someone like Colby, DC, etc still try to strike.
People are spoiled because the ufc generally puts out a great product. I can’t blame usman for fighting the way he did it would be dumb to take chances given the circumstances.

Bisping commentary is the only reason people are calling it a robbery. Volk won rounds 3-5

It could've gone either way but Bisping was stroking Holloway after round 1.
