So what do you guys think Diaz was eluding to with his comments along the lines of "Kinda funny [GSP] knew what I was doing."

Diaz mentioned this at least 2-3 times during the post-fight interview with Joe Rogan.

Was Diaz suggesting that GSP and his fight camp were spying on Diaz during Diaz's training and/or cornering, or that someone working from Diaz's camp was secretly communicating with GSP's? Diaz did seem to make disparaging comments about his training camp during the same interview.

Either way, Diaz's comments were comedy gold.

Diaz cracked me up in the prefight, during the fight, and post fight. Wish the fight was like the one before it, but rarely do the big name fights live up to the hype anymore. GSP is so strong and smart he's just fighting to not lose and keep his title, which doesn't make for fun fights to watch. I miss watching Chuck before he got off cocaine and when he still had his jaw. Those were some fun fights to watch!

I think he is a pussy who is just making excuses. He had 5 full rounds to change his strategy because you know damn well GSP isn't going to finish any fight early. GSP vs Anderson Silva needs to happen soon....GSP is getting so boring!

Yeah, he was accusing GSP camp of spying.

Quitting UFC is part butthurt and part realizing that an Olympic caliber wrestler who cuts 20 lbs to fight in his weight class is a combination Diaz will never overcome. He'll always be a bridesmaid

Diaz also apparently said he would not retire if he got an instant rematch. And Ariel Helwani had the nerve to even ask Dana if he would get the instant rematch. I would have slapped him.

My prediction was right on Diaz: got dominated for 5 rounds (although I did give him one round); whine afterwards; threaten retirement; and fail drug test (pending).

please let this arse monkey leave the sport

plus say he doesn't pay taxes. After Hendricks there is no competition at WW for GSP.

But when you dislike a fighter because he's good at something you have no interest in watching makes no sense

i don't mind wrestlers

i absolutely hate, and have been vocal in my hatred for years, of the advantages the UFC gives to wrestlers

there is a reason so many of the greats have been wrestlers. hughes, gsp (he originally was a striker who developed elite wrestling skills), tito, etc

i always preferred classic pride because they had a bigger variety of fighters in their elite class. when one style dominates your sport, that means your rules are likely slanted towards that sport

*ETA: pride also had that bitch who screamed out the names

Interesting counter to my points. Great addition to the discussion.

No he doesn't. GSP got up to like 194 for the Dan Hardy fight, but went back down to around 187.

He is not around 200. He's around 190.

I think Ellenberger would be a tough match for GSP. I have thought that for a long time... before anybody really paid any attention to Hendricks.

GSP has ALWAYS used wrestling in MMA. He was never "originally a striker". He used takedowns heavily in his first professional MMA fight against Ivan Menjivar in he UCC.
