so if Jones loses, hendo is not next in line?

Jones would almost certainly get an immediate rematch, especially if it was a decision loss

Hendo may by some grace of God get a HW title shot, so he won't care.

really think after Rashad started knocking people out, he forgot just how great of a wrestler he was. If he could find a good medium of his good boxing and great wrestling he could be a very dominant champion (if he wins).

I can't agree with this anymore. Clearly after the Chuck/Forrest fights, he thought he was a bad arse on his feet, which led to his easy knockout loss to Machida.

After that, however, Rashad's fights have ALL been lackluster due to his dependence on his wrestling. Other than the Tito fight (Rashad had ZERO respect for Tito in that fight), he's all wrestling.

As ridiculous as this sounds, Rashad actually holds a black belt in BJJ under Rolles Gracie.

Rolles Gracie Jr, don't get them confused. From what I understand of the guy, the old man would never have given as poor a performance as his son in the ring.

ETA:
My bad, didn't realize they spelled their names differently.

Black belts in BJJ don't even mean anything anymore. Essentially, everyone is on the same playing field now that are elite fighters besides guys who married a certain style and are on the way out (e.g. Rampage)

Yeah, it seems that Rolls is credited with integrating freestyle wrestling with BJJ.

I think you are confusing him with Steven Seagal

I can't believe Anderson Silva gives him the time of day.

Have you seen any of these Jon Jones cartoon videos they're putting out on YouTube? Some are pretty funny, I'll see if I can find one.....

That's why I said he needs to find a good medium. If he could learn to mix up his boxing and wrestling it'd be hard for anyone to beat him. He went from only wrestling, to only striking, back to only wrestling.

I see what you mean. I feel like guys just lose their spirit. Machida knocked it out of him and Thiago could have. Very few like Chuck/Wandy keep it and just say screw it and go out getting KTFO while swinging to kill

I hope Rashad gets the breaks beat off of him for all his Uncle Tom name calling race bating bullshite.

But something tells me he's got a legit shot at winning this.

Did anyone see Eddie Alvarez destroy Shinya Aoki last night? I really hope he signs with the UFC. I think He and Hector Lombard would be great additions to the UFC.

Took the ref long enough to stop it. Aoki's corner threw in the towel but ref did not see it, even though the Unified Rules of MMA say he does not have to acknowledge it.

I watched it last night. Alvarez is legit. Bellator definitely is an up and coming brand of MMA. I like what I've seen.
