eta: the other two were a wash, Hendricks KO was great but too quick to get overly excited about, Brock kinda laid down and AO looked like AO

Does anyone know what the judges scored the Hettes fight?
How in the hell did he not finish Nam?
I believe 2 judges scored the fight 30-25

I completely disagree with you. JDS will be moving backwards the whole fight and reem will be able to bully him and reem with little concern about takedowns and with the freedom to fully kickbox is very very lethal. Reem will have atleast 20 pounds on JDS when they fight. JDS is a great fighter but I see this as his nightmare matchup.
JDS has a huge speed advantage. He is going to jab the shite out of overeem. Overeem fricking let werdum punch him over and over and then swung for the fences. Granted it wasn't his best performance, but I think we can all remember how good JDS did on the feet against werdum.

The reason that Werdum was so successful with his strikes is AO was scared to death to be taken down. Since Werdum had already sub'd him before, AO was overly cautious and was hesitating . This is MMA knowledge 101. JDS and Werdum are two totally different fighters, which will equal two totally different game plans.

Did you watch the fight? The only Werdum could get him on the ground by pulling guard. Its not like overeem was in fear of Werdum's double leg

Im comparing their striking performance against a common opponent, not saying overeem is scared of getting subbed by JDS

I would like to just point out something: sometimes it is really difficult to strike with a guy who is unwilling to strike at all with u. It makes setting stuff up very difficult and you are often times relegated to throwing one quick shot at a time

Who do you like in this fight?

Youre completely missing the point. There are more ways to get the fight to the ground than via a double or single leg. Werdum often uses a clinch trip. The fact is, Overeem had to be patient and keep his distance to be safe. If you dont think that Werdum already subing AO played apart in AOs reluctance to open up, youre a jack arse. The reason that Werdum was only able to get the fight to the ground by pulling guard is because Overeem would never get wreckless or get to close to Werdum.

Surprise Surprise...Once again, you are missing the point. The fact that Overeem doesnt have to be concerned with being taken down and submitted will allow him to open up his striking. It will also give him less to worry about. Werdum was only able to land strikes on AO due that the fact that AO kept his hands low to avoid the TD, much like he did with Lesnar.

*****No way, AO is over rated and just happens to suck and was getting worked by Werdum and Lesnar. The fact that he was facing great grapplers and completely demolished nearly every opponent in MMA/K-1 over the past 4 years means nothing.

JDS and Reem is a total toss up to me. They are the two best HW strikers in MMA by a very wide margin. I think the fight stays on its feet and it is a total toss up. I think if you fight it 10 times it is split. Either fighter can easily land a big shot at any moment. In the past I would say Reem's chin is suspect, but there has been no evidence of that in a long time.

Yeah Lesnar was working overeem
Continue to make excuses for Overeem. The fact is Werdum and Lesnar are the first top 15 HW he has faced, and both atrocious strikers. JDS has faced 4 top 15 HW and destroyed each of them, including perhaps the best HW in the world. Overeem has a suspect chin and JDS hits like a train.

Werdum an atrocious striker?????
Hahahahahhahaahahahahahahahahhahaha
The guy is a black belt in Muay Thai. He may not be Anderson Silva, but he can surely hold his own with 95% of the guys he fights.
