hey, what did you think about that fight?? oh wait, nevermind. you can't answer in this thread anymore

What sucks is he has been reincarnated as OUandLSU fan.

WHATDOINO has been somewhat cordial and if yall want I'll invtie him back.

To PBT, I eat much crow on BJ Penn.

Well smack, congratulations on the win. Lol. I am suprised at how hard it was for Randy to put Toney on his arse. That was probably the worst mismatch I have ever seen in the ufc.

Anyways , I'm out if here untill invited back.

This is disastrous for the lightweight division. Edgar has gone to a decision 9 times in his past 11 fights

Its time to give the guy his respect. He honestly is too small for 155 and has now dominated B.J. Penn and Dominated Sean Sherk. 3 extremely impressive showings at that weight class. The answer to a guy like that is Maynard though. A big wrestler with great ability to take down will always give a guy that is really too small for a weight class a ton of trouble. (See Penn vs GSP at 170) I wouldn't be surprised if Maynard is the champion at that weight class within 6 months.

Well no shite. It would be like Lesnar trying to box one of the Klitchko Bros. You had to know deep down that was what was going to happen? lol.

I don't think anyone is disrespecting the guy but you know going in there's zero chance for KO.

that's the reason why i'm so surprised he dominated bj like that. penn knew coming in that edgar has very little power. once he started getting out-pointed again (halfway thru the 1st) he should've changed his strategy right then and there. don't know why he didn't attempt more takedowns earlier in the fight. was really surprised edgar was able to take him down though, bj looked huge compared to franky.

Its not Edgar's fault the UFC doesn't have a 145 lb. division though. He would be the GSP of that weight class and be one of the pound for pound best fighters in the world there. He would be finishing fights at that weight IMO.

Because he couldn't. They weren't there. Edgar's grappling was unbelievably impressive with B.J. I couldn't believe what I was seeing when Penn had Edgar on his back and then Frankie reversed it.

This blows my mind and this is the reason BJ might be done.

Matt Hughes in his prime had a hold of BJ's foot with both hands and could not take Penn down. Penn fought off of one foot for like 90 seconds. It was insane and was one of the best pieces of footage I have ever seen in MMA.

Bj is far from done. He'll have the title back 4-5 months after maynard beats edgar.
