I won't agree with it...........Lesnar's too "type A alpha male" to not get up...........he'd have got up with pure ego.

See, I feel completely different. Carwin's only chance at beating Brock is a big shot or barrage of big shots. Well he got that and he STILL lost. I felt the odds were 60/40 for Brock before the fight and even stronger now.

You also have to consider that he had won all 12 fights by ko or stoppage. That's all he's ever done and it looked like he was going to do it again. This shite about him being more tactical sounds good post fight, but he was trying to end it and came pretty close to doing it. Calling that "blowing his load" is pretty ignorant.

It wasn't getting called due to stoppage, period.

I still agree with it..........doesn't mean he should have been more technically sound with his fight........

Carwin had never been past the 1st round in any fight..........it was a mental issue as well as a strategy on his part............BUT when fighting a man who can handle that kind of punishment you have to be smarter than him as well as a better fighter than him.

Good job to get the win, but I LOVED seeing him run like a bitch and turtle up that first round. Always fun to see a bully get bullied around.

Was Lesnar's respectfulness in post fight legit or dictated by Dana?

Lesnar's fear of Carwin's power was the most shocking thing for me. I figured he was too arrogant and stupid to fear anything. He crapped his pants when the fists started flying.

See my post above...........nothing ignorant about it..........hitting a man who is 265 in a defensive position in the triceps and elbows is not gonna help you any...........he followed his plan but it was flawed............you have to be smart and save your best stuff for when it counts...........his elbows and ground and pound were more than suffienct and saved much needed stamina.

Probably his illness.

Thoughts on the fight- If that was two normal HWs, they would have stopped it. I am glad they didn't. Carwin was done once he didn't finish Lesnar in that first round. He didn't even defend the takedown. Can't wait to see the next couple of fights with these guys and Cain.

I can't Kige this enough. Carwin's elbows were doing the job. Lesnar had no clue how to defend against them. If Carwin had thrown 5 more of these and 20 less punches the fight might have been stopped. Even if it wasn't he wouldn't have emptied his gas tank.

As much as it pains me to say this........if he(Carwin) has 1 or 2 training sessions with shitty Tito Ortiz he wins the fight

Legit

He got the shite beat out of him in the 1st round. When he got hit with the uppercut, he ran. He wanted NO PART of standing anymore. Then he turtled up. I agree with Saderade. If he wasn't Lesnar, it would have been stopped. His "intelligent defense" was crossing his arms over his face. After the big elbow on the ground, followed by 15-20 seconds of him just crossing his arms like a 10 year old in a school fight, I thought they were going to stop it.

I've always wondered why guys bomb punches into a guys shoulders instead of elbows. A huge reason Tito used to be so effective in the guard was the way he bombed elbows out of that position.

The Joe Rogan comment on Chris Leban being a Zombie made me actually laugh out loud. That guy is going to be fricked pretty soon

With that Cro-Mag bone of a skull he has and that steel-pipe neck and traps, that had never been really rocked before, I wouldn't have been surprised if he was wreckless, but he knew Carwin's bombs were legit, and was smart to fear their potency.

Still have to give him credit for absorbing so many of them without being KO'ed.
