I didn't read this whole thread, but does anyone know why the Fitch-Thiago fight was after the 2 main events?

Two five-round fights on the main card after the first two fights went five rounds between them. If both championship fights went the distance they wouldn't have had time for Fitch/Thiago.
This isn't common sense to you?

No that's not what happened. The Fitch fight was fought after the main event which never happens. It was discussed post fight with Fitch.

quote:where Fitch said he was supposed to fight before the GSP fight and they went to his locker room and said b/c of the lenght of the earlier fights he was gunna fight after the GSP fight... and they went in again after the GSP fight and said b/c of the length of the GSP fight they were gunna push it till after the Lesnar fight... they didn't want to get in a situation where they couldn't get in the Lesnar Mir fight....
It was discussed post fight with Fitch.

And if they had to pick one fight on the main card not to air a likely three round grappling match that goes to a decision is the no brainer.
Had Lesnar/Mir gone 4 or 5 rounds, they would have only had time to air a quick fight. They would have shown one from the under card that ended in round one instead of Fitch/Thiago.

I think we all agree here. It is my understanding that the undercard bouts occur first. On the the pay per view they will televise some of the bouts if there is time but they are not shown live. The Fitch fight was live and the last fight that night. I thought that was unusual. Am I wrong?

It's not normal, but has happened before. I can find examples if you want, but I know for a fact it happens occasionally.

I heard that the earlier matches were running long and UFC wanted the headline to be seen at prime time. The decision was made during the broadcast.

I just watched the youtube clip of henderson knocking out bisping and what was amazing was the right that took him out, what was horrifying was the right that almost killed him when Bisping was on the deck and henderson jumped on him and punched him in the face

The second one is Tom Lawler walking Seth Petrozeli like a dog to the cage at UFC 100.
The third one is some bitch getting her leg swept like Daniel-san.
