i think this class is underrated so far. these are the types of kids that don't get a lot of attention from rivals, but are quality players. i have a feeling a few more of them would eventually be three stars if they waited longer to commit. hopefully toledo can now make some strides on the football field. it seems weird saying this, but i'm actually a little excited for TU football this season

I wonder if a position change is in store for him.

When does Ray Boudreaux come back?

As always, we'll see what happens. As we enter Toledo's 3rd season, wins are the only way to prove the critics wrong. Our last winning season? 2002.
As for the '10 class, I think we'll see some of the individual ratings 'improve' as soon as the high school football/recruiting season heats up.

choupiquesushi, what's so funny about that young man's life?
I'm sure we can agree that it's a sad story.
Let's remember that Boudreaux, a trumpet player, was also a four-time member of the Conference USA Academic Honor Roll and Tulane's 3.0 Club.
Moreover, Boudreaux was a '03 recruit - not one of Coach Toledo's kids.

Wow, you really enjoy being a worthless piece of shite, don't you?
But thanks for bumping the Tulane thread on the MORE SPORTS BOARD.

One can also argue that the circumstances of his conviction were rather shady...
Posted on 8/11/09 at 9:09 am to Sophandros
nothing funny about boudreaux....
but there is something funny about Kranz, Olensky and Rothenberg and their bookie buddie Josh.... come on you are tulane guy and don't know who that is...

I know what it is, but I would rather this thread be what it is supposed to be about.
Now, either you can have some respect and show some decency, or you can continue to show the world how much of a jackass you are.

what did happen there? I remember hearing some stuff about it, but I don't know much of the story at all.

Tulane football team's 2-10 record faint memory as players focus on future - Times-Picayune
- After a 2-10 season in which Tulane lost 17 players to season-ending injuries and eight consecutive games to close the season...
- ...strength and conditioning coach Derick Atchley, who whipped the players in better physical and mental shape in hopes of having them avoid injuries and mental lapses. Toledo praised Atchley,...responsible for the players showing up bigger, faster and stronger...
- Tulane players said they showed the same kinds of enthusiasm during offseason drills, in which Kemp and senior running back Andre Anderson helped gather players for running, weightlifting and 7-on-7 drills. The Green Wave had nearly perfect attendance for offseason workouts.
Also:
• The Green Wave practiced in full gear for the first time in fall camp.
• Senior defensive tackle Reggie Scott left the morning workout suffering from dehydration, and freshman linebacker Cody Ledford left drills after suffering a concussion.
• Toledo said he has been impressed with freshman defensive tackle Shane Delery and freshmen receivers Devin Figaro and D.J. Banks. Toledo said he expects about half of his 24 freshmen to see action this season.

toledo is adding some serious size on the lines. i had classes with a few of the starting OL in the past several years and they were nowhere near that size.
andre anderson is going to have a breakout season btw.

Patience, time needed for Toledo at Tulane - neworleans.com
- ...experts pick Tulane to be one of the 10 worst teams in division one college football. At season's end if they are correct, I have a question for you. If head coach Bob Toledo and his staff cannot turnaround this football program, who can?
- By all accounts, Toledo has done a solid job of laying a foundation for future results. He has recruited Louisiana hard to restock the Green Wave roster.
- Toledo said he has offered at least 50 high school prospects from the state of Louisiana for the class of 2010. But a total of 7 out of the 17 verbal commitments for the class of 2010 hail from Louisiana.
- And the gap between the two is enormous. And, why the gap exists is simple to understand. LSU can get players into school that Tulane and Toledo could only dream of bringing to campus...I ask often about prospects that Tulane may or may not be recruiting. When the answer is no, the reason why is "we can't get them in school" or "we can't keep them in school once they get here."
- Since 1951, only one Tulane football coach departed with a winning record. Tommy Bowden's 18-4 record in two seasons was a shooting star. Chris Scelfo, not thought of highly by many Tulanians, left with a winning percentage of .394. That percentage was the better than Mack Brown, Greg Davis, Buddy Teevens, and Wally English.
- I say give Toledo as much time as necessary. Clearly, the issue isn't the coach, but a university that refuses to allow the handful of athletes who can be difference makers at a mid-major school like Tulane to join the program. In the meantime, other than Rice and maybe SMU, Tulane's academic standards are far more stringent than other Conference USA school. And most of the league takes junior college players. Toledo said you can't build a program with JUCOs, but one or two a year at key spots can help any program tremendously.
For Fun - Tulane/SEC Facts:
Tulane's record as an SEC member (1933-1965):
