They say the LA kid that didn't make weight was a wrestler. Where did he wrestle at?

JC is a 145er... no room in TUF house for 145ers.
of all the guys from LA who made it in the house, Kenny Stevens was by far the guy that everyone thought would be a star. He played it dumb though, and tried going in at 170 having never made that weight prior.
But everyone from around here, and MS and train with the guy, will tell you Kenny Stevens is a killer. NO ONE likes sparring with him. But the show kinds broke him. After that, he kinda went on a losing streak, just not showing up. His heart wasnt in it.
He broke UFC fighter Ben Saunders jaw, and dominated 2 rounds of the fight before somehow getting TKOd from strikes in the third. Ben was completely whipped, and could barely stay up. But mustered a final attack and somhow finished Kenny.
He also hurt UFC fighter Rob Kimmons numerous times, but never turned it on and went for the kill. And eventually let Rob back in the fight, where he eaked out a close decision.
Here lately he has come back around, and starting acting like the Kenny of old. The guy who earned the nickname SO TOUGH. Ive always said he is my favorite fighter. And he will be in my corner May 23rd in Vegas

Just finally watched the show.
I don't see how they let Santino cover up and turtle for a good 2 minutes without ending the fight. The majority of those punches were not landing, but he did NOTHING to improve upon his position or situation. Kind of looked like he quit.
If I were Henderson I wouldn't be too excited about the majority of these fighters. The guy who KO'ed his training partner didn't look overly technical. The guy who passed out seemed to eek out a sloppy decision from Dana's summary of the fight. Demarques Johnson (brutal GNP to the guy from Thailand) looked good, and the Shaun White look-a-like looked decent. If I had to bet on it I would think that 3 of the 4 fighters in the finals will be Brits.
Also did anybody watch the Dream card that aired last night? It's like 4 hours long and I just want to know if there are any fights worth watching.

The dream card from friday was actually a week old and very worth the watch. Strikeforce from last night was pretty good too. Diaz mangled shamrock and scott smith won a fight where he was completely destroyed before he knocked benji out.
eta: nick diaz actually sounded like a decent person after the fight. maybe opening his own school has calmed him a litlle.

Scott Smith may not be one of the best fighters, but his fights are damn exciting. Shamrock showed me nothing last night, I thought he would give Diaz a little more of a fight than that. Gilbert Melendez was impressive to me also, I had never seen him fight.

Man, Dan Henderson can not catch a break. That kid who knocked himself out last night was obviously the better fighter of the 2. So now from watching the team elimination fights, there are at least 3 fighters on team USA who won and were the lesser fighter. I still think the USA will have a fighter in each final.
My predictions for the finals are: Johnson and Whitson for the USA and Faulkner and Lawson for the UK.

Mark Miller vs Nick Osipczak
Osipczak wins with a head kick with about 1 minute left in the 2nd round. Herb Dean had just stood them up. Fight was sloppy and very non-technical. Neither of these fighters were very good in my opinion.
The pre-fight stuff was pretty boring, team USA started drawing on team UK's left behind shirts and wrestling shoes. Bisping was still talking smack and pissing off team USA, especially Demarques Johnson.
That is about it.

Didn't Team USA make the pic?

yeah, the brit fought some scrub in England and destroyed him but i remember Henderson saying he didn't have much power. So going off what he remembered from the fights 2 weeks ago he picked that guy to fight stand up versus Miller (the guy who beat his teammate on the prelims). Then Bisping got to watch a video of Miller's prelim fight with his 2 asst coaches with paper and pad to take notes on his weaknesses.
Pretty sure Miller was the guy that wrestled at the same school as Matt Hughes but his takedown defense was terrible. But the fight was pretty exciting especially for a TUF fight.

Rumor is Chris Bell made it on for the next season of TUF.
He's the guy that destroyed Matt Brown a few months back and is undefeated. He's from Houston. He holds the belts for 185 and 205 for LFC.
KB told me that Shawn Jordan was on his final interview for TUF and is just waiting for a phone call for next season. That would be awesome.

I just watched it this morning.
That was an entertaining fight. That kick looked like it was in slo motion. That was the slowest moving KO kick I have ever seen. I guess when u have your hands down and you're gassed it probably looked lightning fast!
Brit: "Who wrot on my bowts?"
American: "What?"
Brit "Who wrot on my bowts?"
American "WHAT?!"
Brit "Who wrot on my bowts?"
American "I have no idea what you are saying."
Brit: "Who wrot on my boooots?"

Yeah I caught it on DVR. Been travelling to BR and back the last 3 days so I haven't been on here much.
Anywho, I agree with the earlier assessment that it was an entertaining fight but not at all technical. I don't think Nick O makes it out of the next round of the tourney.
From what I could tell from that one episode it seems that Bisping is going to be a pretty good coach for these guys. He appeared to do very well in preparing a viable gameplan for Nick even if he didn't follow it.
One thing I would like to see implemented on TUF is for them to mandate that both teams STFU during the fights. I would much rather clearly hear what both corners are saying that a bunch of random yelling. Gets pretty annoying.
