I saw an interview a few weeks ago with Trevor Wittman, Team Rashad's striking coach, where he talked about the two guys he was most impressed with were Marcus Jones and Matt Mittrione(believe it or not). He said Marcus Jones's athletic ability was on a different level from any other HW in the UFC. He also said Matt was a natural striker and moved very well.
I kind of took this as spoilers that both won so I didn't mention it here.
Also, regarding conditioning I saw an interview with Wes Shivers where he basically said Rampage over conditioned his fighters. According to Wes they were all worn down when it came time to fight. Take that one at face value.

Mitrione did look comfortable on his feet and Marcus is a big man to have on top of you on the ground. Impressive what he did off his back last night.
So Wes was over conditioned for the first fight? Sounds to me like a BS excuse on his part. He might have felt that way if he showed up in awful shape.

yeah, I saw the same thing. Was trying to find a link. He was raving about Mitirione's standup. It's just hard for me to picture meathead winning two more fights with that terrible conditioning. I guess he might have some quick wins though.

I'm not trying to make excuses for Wes here, but Wes's fight was on like day five. The same day as the first fight- Madsen/Abe. So If Wes did come in, in less than great shape(Shiver's fault), and Page ran them into the ground for a few days. Then you have to fight, it's not a stretch that he could be worn down from training.

After watching last nights ultimate fighter show Rampage brought up Rashad being booed and how he RAN from Machida. Is that true. Do fans hate him. I've never seen one of his fights. And did he REALLY run from Machida??? BTW I don't watch much UFC or MMA fights.
I think that was a low blow for Rampage to bring up Rashad running from Machida and then getting knocked out on the show.lol. . You can tell they really hate each other.

I don't like Matt's attitude. It seems like he don't really care about the sport as some of the other fighters unless he just don't like the people in the house.

I haven't watched an episode this season. Is Scahub the favorite to win?
Posted on 11/5/09 at 10:27 am to Trender
I'd say Roy Nelson is the favorite, but Schaub has a chance.

I know. It could be part Rampage's fault but to me it just looks like most of these guys came in way out of shape.

Nelson over Wren
Schaub over Madsen
Mitirione over McSweeny
Jones over Titties
Is that how everyone's predictions look for the next round?

kinda ironic since mitrione was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Arkansas

Saw the preview for the next show and I THINK Kimbo is taking Mitirione's spot. Mitirione gets sick or some shite.lol.

If someone can't fight, the other black guy from Rampage's team should step in.

Dude they have been doing that shite since Kimbo got beat. Every week's previews include "Kimbo could fight this week" to keep casual fans tuning in.

He looked pretty good in his last fight.

has this thread mentioned how the creepy dude (Zac Jensen or soemthing?) that jizzed in the shower and they were taking bets on when he snaps murdered some dude on spring break right before he left to go on the show? He went as chaperone of this 18 year old girl and basically killed some dude trying to hit it in the bathroom and now he and the girl are lying to the popo and shite but I guess nobody cares to arrest since it was just Mexico.
