When it comes to pass coverage...ed reed completely leaves troy in the dust...

In fairness, Reed is way past his prime. His pass coverage this year was very spotty.

they were only drafted a year apart and their is not a big gap between Troy and Ed in the types of stats that Troy is supposed to be superior in.

Except that they play different positions, and TP can play any position on the field. I'd expect a FS to have better pass defense stats, but I wouldn't plug him in at DE or OLB like I could with TP.

As for the Steelers w/o TP, I stand by what I said. If they lost him, they would not be a contender

That's why they didn't make the playoffs last year, or in 2007.

establishing causality are we now? you didn't make the playoffs because your coach fricked up in some big spots and cost the team games...when your a team that constantly eeks out close wins, you can expect seasons where that will backfire...like last season. I know here comes the "but but but he always makes a play at the end of the game"

I've just watched the Steelers long enough to know how crucial TP is to their success. The defense is completely different when he's not on the field. Why else did the offense go pass happy last season? They had to keep up with opponent's scoring because our defense was average at best.

No, professor. Not for an entire game or as a career position. I'm saying that TP could play any position of the field if need be, and play it very well. shite, he's played everything but DL at one point or other this season alone, and I'd have to go back and look at the tape just to make sure he didn't, in fact, play DL at some point.

Nah, it's something that's pretty obvious and I've noticed it beyond 2 years ago.

I was referring to Jeff Reed fricktard. Go troll around somewhere else. You suck at this debating thing.

fricktard...huh? I'm still waiting for you to show/prove the correlation between Troy P's injury and the Steelers losing games...you've yet to explain that

What is amazing is the Steelers record and defensive struggles when Troy is injured vs. when he's healthy.

Couldn't you say the same about several players?

shite look at LSU this year with Brandon Taylor

Look at the Colts without that dude that's always injured

2009- Troy misses half the season with a fricked up knee we go 8-8

2007- Misses a few games, played with a bum knee, Steelers go 10-6. Lose in the wildcard to Jacksonville at home.

2006- Pretty much like 2007, but Steelers go 7-9.

I'm still trying to find the stat they showed during the later part of the season where they compared the Steelers record and defense stats when TP plays vs when he doesn't. It was easy to see the correlation.

Maybe some, but usually just the studs. Look at the Heat just without LeBron.

I don't follow LSU closely, but when I did watch them the defense looked damn good (minus Arky's TD before half )

That dude? More like half their god damn team.

Clark, Collie, Gonzo, Addai, Sanders... and that's just off the top of my head.
