All you little girls who are whining about South Plaq. running it up can get a freakin life. You play football the exact same way from the first snap to the last, no matter what the score. CLA's job was to play some defense and stop South Plaq and they couldn't do it, so cry me a freakin river.

Also I have a great deal of respect for coach Crutchfield. He is what a football coach should be. He demands perfection from the first snap to the last. In the post game Crutchfield said that despite putting up 62, his team didn't play as well as they're capable of. This is a guy that settles for nothing but perfection.

Bottom line- South Plaq. State Champs 2 years straight

And for all ya'll that think that when South Plaq. moves up due to reclassification that they won't be as dominant, South Plaq. can compete with anyone in the state. An example- they went on the road and played at Hahnville this season, a 5A team, and beat em.

South Plaqumines is one heck of a team and there are not many teams in the state that can stop them. Whine all yall want about running up the score and being classless. Bottom line is that they are just that much better than all the competition and they prove it week in and week out. Make all the comments yall want about the players being thugs, etc. Crutchfield is an absolute class act and he teaches those kids about life and how to be successful on and off the field.

So all of you people can whine and complain like little girls all you want. South Plaq doesn't mind. They will just continue to dominate at any level they play at and win state titles. GET SUM

Listen douchebag no one is whining about running up the score. What they are saying and i completely agree is that you dont kick onside when you are up 50 points. That is lame. I for one think their team and fans are thugs. I am basing this on my experience with their fans the past two years while at the dome.

Winning by a copious amount is fine, but onside kicking and going for two is just not cool.

Maybe the Block coach was right after all ,The SP coach was arrogent last year and it showed in his book. He also said some of that attitude rubs off on the players. I think everyone knew SP had a great team this year without running up scores

I've never seen a team in any level of football play like SP: onside kicks, going for 2, blitzing every play. It was like a stratagy you use in a video game.

My thing is, how can you tell kids to "stop scoring"? Everyone wants to be in the stat book.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with it, you can't argue with success, I've just never seen anyone ballsy enough to do that.

I called a buddy in Arizona who is a HS coach and told him to check it out.

Tell ya what, thugs....they are not. Those kids hit the books, and are very kind to others when not on the football field. I know because I've seen it firsthand. Even the coaching staff is friendly to outsiders when you are not playing them.

If you were to walk into their locker room during a team meeting, one thing you will notice is that the kids respect the coach and anyone else in there, so quit judging when you know nothing about them outside the football field.

If I were the coach of SP, I would not have been kicking onside kicks while up by that score, but that is absolutly meaningless. I've never coached a team to a state championship, so my opinion doesn't mean much, nor does anyone's who has not done so, or come close.

It probably would have been more polite to not do that stuff, but who cares? You are out there to win, and if the SP critics don't like it...again, who cares? Beat them on the field and it would not be an issue. You can't tell a player to strap it on in a varsity game for the state championship and tell them go half speed, that is more detrimental to their personal development than running up the score IMHO.

I haven't watched them, but hear they don't have an excellent kicking game. This may be the reason for onside kicking and going for two with such a large lead. I also feel that if the opposing team is still throwing the ball and not just running out the clock, you should play as usual.

They did this the whole game!!! He doesn't trust his kicker!!! And I agree with most!! You play the WHOLE game as hard as you can!! If you score 60 or 70 so be it!!!!

Agreed. Like I have been saying, they are a great team and can beat teams in all classes, but let's not get carried away.
