Totally disagree. Understanding and being realistic about your competition is probably more important than telling yourself "I can win at ANYTHING". No, you can't. Maybe it's smart to develop the skill to rise to vice president when you know you are never going to beat out that president.
Repeat: they were presented with incentives and responded rationally to them. Kudos.

But they scored 2 in the 3rd. I think at that point they had a lead and realized Riverdale was not going to beat them and said hell with it, just go play.

This is an easy fix for the league.
Don't let the loser of a consolation game advance to the playoffs.

I don't have a problem with what they did. They were still trying to win by getting into the easier side of the bracket.

LOL. If you want to be the best then beat the best.
I don't think they should have been disqualified for trying to both lose. Suspend the coach.. if they were instructed.. if not then suspend the players that participated.
