Better Career - Timmy
Better Prime - Kobe

I think that's pretty fair

Duncan. Same number of titles, one more MVP, never had less than 50 wins his entire career. Keep in mind Duncan played four years of college too.

Duncan has FIVE?

Damn!!! If accurate, Duncan. Less flash but ALWAYS relevant. And he and his team broke some hearts. Snatched a ring from Lebron and..... Excuse me two from Lebron.

And I'm sure they've ripped Kobes heart out before in a conference championship?

Kobe Bryant clutch? The biggest false narrative driven by the media in recent decades. Dude was abysmal with shots late in games

SPN Stats & Information's Alok Pattani dug through 15 years of NBA data (see table below) -- Bryant's entire career, regular season and playoffs -- and found that Bryant has attempted 115 shots in the final 24 seconds of a game in which the Lakers were tied or trailed by two or fewer points. He connected on 36, and missed 79 times.

31% for Kobe "unclutch" Bryant

Derek Fisher was the third best player on multiple title teams for the Kobe/Shaq Lakers...let that sink in.

Shaq was the best player in the NBA for 3 of Kobe's championships. Let that sink in.

First of all Duncan didn't snatch two from LeBron, his team took both (both series were blowouts). If anything the Heat stole one from the Spurs.

The answer to the OP is Duncan and his prime was pretty fricking special.

ESPN (I know they suck, but still) did a poll with over 22k voters and it was 58% to 42% in favor of Duncan.

You say that like I am a Lebron apologist?

Not said forcefully enough? Ok he skull fricked Lebron until 2 rings fell out of his other eye socket!

That was my biggest fault with Lebron. When they won one and the Spurs got one I enjoyed watching basketball again like when I was a child watch Boston and LA. When he took it back to Cleveland it was a bit wtf for me?

The man has a right to live where he wants to live, but damn it would have been cool to get another couple of those series. And it feeds the narrative that "MJ, Magic, Larry, Isiah would have never left like that". They lived for the chance to get somebody back. It would eat at their souls to walk away from that kind of competition. They played until they fell apart or pieces started getting too old.

I'd say Duncan, and easily.

-Over 18 seasons, the worst team he played on went 50-32
-5x Champion
-3x Finals MVP
-2x MVP
-15x All Star
