Exactly. And the rule is where the ball "last crossed" the hazard. Not where it first crossed.

No way you can tell that from that camera angle.

Wow. In 2013, he would have been playing top-level golf for at least 20 years...

And still not having a full understanding of the rules?

There is no one with a sober mind who could believe that.

There's a ton of professional players in every sport that don't know every single rule of the sport they play.

I personally think Jacks best MAY have been better but that is jmo.

That's an absurd take. Outside of majors, Tiger is better in just about any category you can name.

What an odd thing to say. Outside of the championships of the sport, he's not better. When speaking of the best ever, why would you not grade someone based on the championships of their sport?

That sounds like a Boom statement like "Outside of championships, Hardwn is better than Jordan" or some shite.

I never got to really watch Jack play, but it is hard (VERY hard) to argue with his major wins, seconds, and thirds. I think that argument alone makes him the GOAT most likely. But Tiger is certainly right there as well.

I agree with whoever it was that said this is a very weird thread.

How can you call this incident anything BUT CHEATING???

You can call it cheating if you want, I won't go that far. When i heard that incident (and it didnt become news till the next morning) i thought he was entitled to drop as far back as he liked. He happened to choose 2 yds back so hitting the same shot would not hit the flagstick. Lets not forget he was in contention and that unfortunate shot should have been a tap in birdie but was a bogey (due to ricochet into the water) and the penalty. Ignorance isnt an excuse but its not necessarily cheating.

So, for instance, in the 2nd round at the 2013 Masters, when TW took a drop in violation of the rules, he cheated. He said in his post round interview that he purposefully dropped 2 paces further back than the place of his original shot.

I don’t remember details, but I would bet it was a ball in the water and as long as the spot the ball crossed the hazard is between him and the flag he can go back as far as he wants. Maybe, two yards behind his spot fulfilled that rule.

Maybe on a Tuesday afternoon at Bushwood but not at a PGA tour event. His galleries typically average 15,000 and the cameras are always on him. I don’t see how he could possibly get away with anything

FTR...I have never accused Tiger of cheating on the course, never would I ...

... this thread was created as a result of the accusations by the poster LCA131 who has repeatedly accused Tiger of being a cheater on the golf course

I started this thread as an experiment to see if anyone agreed with him....i.e. That's the reason for the title of this thread. NOT MY OPINION.

according to the down-votes and the replies, it appears not many people believe or agree that Tiger is a cheater.....

Yes. I do.

A cheater is, by definition, 'one who takes deliberate action, against the rules, to gain an advantage over his competition'.

So, for instance, in the 2nd round at the 2013 Masters, when TW took a drop in violation of the rules, he cheated. He said in his post round interview that he purposefully dropped 2 paces further back than the place of his original shot.
