Lebron is having the best season since MJ in his prime.

There is no fricking debate.

Where are you getting these stats? 82 games has Lebron with a 49% eFG% on jump shots

EFG is crap. LeBron's real field goal percentage is 41.3% and I got that from basketball-reference.

It's certainly no total shooting percentage, am I right?

lebrons EFG is high because he shoots less than two 3 pointers per game and makes 41% of them.

an average of less than one 3 pointer per game doesn't really contribute much of his overall production

Nobody said Lebron was the better shooter, your saying we shouldn't take Lebrons shooting Percentage into account because he drives and shoots from closer than Durant?
I forgot that Durant wasn't allowed to go into the paint...

They have different skill sets (Durant is more skilled) and different levels of athleticism (LeBron is the best athlete in basketball). LeBron also gets calls that no other basketball player gets.

Your boy Dwight doesn't seem emotionally involved in this debate at all.

WTF?

If the only skill you're talking about is jumpshooting, then yeah. Lebron does everything else on the basketball court better than Durant

Dude, just stop. Now your saying Durant is better than Lebron bc he is weaker but a better shooter? They are scoring around the same rate (Lebron more efficiently) and Lebron is the better rebounder, ball handler, distributor, and defender.
Now you also start throwing out crap about how Lebron gets calls, all the superstars get calls, Durant would get more if he would go into the lane every now and then.

FWIW I really like Durant and I think he's an amazing player, but your arguments are dumb

Since Jordan retired after 1998:

Shaq from the 98-99 until the 03-04 seasons.

Kobe in 05-06 and 06-07.

Duncan in 02-03, 03-04, and maybe in 06-07.

Garnett from 00-01 until 05-06.

And before you pull stats out of your arse, there is more to a player's seasons than just their box scores. Shaq was the most dominant player in the league for a 6-7 year period. Kobe put a team full of end of rotation guys on his back and took them to the playoffs in the powerhouse West. Duncan speaks for himself. Garnett was the best big man in the league for a stretch not named Shaq and really was the best all-around defender and best rebounder in the league for a 5 year stretch.

LeBron will cool off and the idiots who were saying he was having the best season ever will look like just that.

Jordan shot under 50% in 1995-98 while averaging about 28 ppg... i guess Lebron was better than him on offense too?

of course Durants FG% is lower, lebron gets tons of fast break points and doesn't take as many mid range and out shots.

are you saying you shouldn't take where they are shooting from into account when looking at FG%?

tyson chandler is shooting like 69% then. MVP?

It's statements like this that show why you're so terrible at analyzing basketball. You have no ability to grasp logic.

Dude shut the frick up

You want to play the "I'm an objective viewer" shite and talk trash about how you don't understand how anyone can defend someone so vehemently, yet seem to be more invested in this topic than anyone else.

And I didn't read past Kobe's 06-07

You have just over 100 posts and a large majority of them are trashing LeBron & trashing LeBron in a Kobe thread

That's not what I'm saying, I'm saying Lebron is better than Durant this year and it seems the argument you Lebron haters keep throwing out is that Durant is a better shooter than Lebron from distance.
So I guess Mike Miller is better than Lebron also? (See I can make stupid comments too)

I'm sorry for disturbing the sand in your vagina. I'll be more careful the next time I think about speaking the truth because I don't want to upset you and the growing beach in your vaginal cavity.
