The women’s college basketball AAC Championship comes down to Rice (18-14) and East Carolina (19-13) on Wednesday. The journey to the championship game for both teams has been lined with upset wins. The Owls and Pirates both came in tied at 9-9 in the conference finishing in sixth place. The Pirates upset eighth-seeded Memphis (65-63), one-seeded Tulsa (75-71) and fourth-seeded UTSA (55-54) as the ninth-seed. For the Owls, they entered the tournament as the 10th seed and won their three games against seventh-seeded UAB (71-56), second-seeded North Texas (61-59) and third-seeded Tulsa (60-57). All three wins leading to this championship game for both teams came against teams seeded higher than them.

Rice dominates the first quarter 18-3 even with some really bad decision making by some of their players in the offensive end.

Owls looking for a Tournament title in their first year in the conference.

Yeah,, Im still paying attention to this

WBB is approaching the quality of men's play in the 40's

I'll allow my reader to choose whether I intended . Mens play in the 1940 or a senior's men league at the local Lifetime

It’s gotten better for sure. Skills are improved as has simply the number of quality players. More women are getting legit development as bball players as kids which has helped the game tremendously.
