This weekend can finally turn the corner on the week of 1/9/12 for South LA football

We all know how much of a let down that week was for LSU & Saints. Both teams arguably should have been champions that year. I feel like both teams really haven’t been the same since that week. Saints came close last year, but we all know how that ended.
Fast forward to this weekend, and lets take a look at both teams. LSU has maybe the most complete team since 2011. 1st place in the West is on the line with a clear path to the playoff if we win.
The Saints have a chance for the first time since 2009 to be in first place in the NFC at or beyond the halfway mark of the season. We all know how valuable homefield advantage is to New Orleans in the playoffs. The defense has its issues, but is improving. The offense is unquestionably at a championship level.
Two wins this weekend and the path for South LA to own the football world is wide open.

It's a damn shame there isn't a board to discuss LSU or Saints stuff here

Stop with this south La bullshite. The whole state loves both teams.

I honestly don’t see how your OP effectively supports your thread title. No regular season wins of any kind can overtake losing in a national title game.

28-3 did more for the saints fanbase than their own superbowl did

You could say the same thing about 29-24 and the Falcons fanbase...only there's no SB to fall back on.

There are just as many Bama fans in south la as there are cowboy fans in north la.
Who gives a shite? The whole state is by far saints and LSU.
