Not meaning to change the subject but didn't Karl Malone have a daughter in the WNBA? Wasn't she really good at the time or am I remembering wrong? I met her once but never talked to her about that and I still can't remember her first name. She was incredibly nice and country country country.
ETA: Cheryl Ford was who I'm thinking of.

they hate (less so, but it's still there) angel reese because she's relatively pretty, straight, and rich af. they hate CC for the same reason but she's white and will be the best womens player ever. this isn't hard.

Bro I agree her being white makes them hate her more
But her being white is also the only reason any on this board care to talk about her either
It ain’t hard to figure that out as well….

just like this board takes interest in her because she is white
Yet countless white women have been playing basketball for decades and none of them have gotten a fraction of the attention as this particular one. Why is that?

I’ll do you the other side of the question
If countless other white women played in the WNBA, why wasn’t there all out hate from all the racist monster rug munching players? Why’s that?
Diana taurasi is white and was the face of the league. No white men cared to watch or cheer and no black people cared to hate her
Ask yourself why on both sides….I’ll just tell you. The media didn’t play puppet masters to the easily influenced on both sides

What’s the agenda to talk about her? If it’s her race, again, there have been plenty of other opportunities before her.

Maybe they hate her because she’s straight. Maybe they hate her because they’re jealous of her success and fame. Maybe they hate her because she’s white AND those other things. What’s your point?

They should be kissing her arse as this will only help their salaries and more. Kinda like Tiger Woods but opposite race takes.

There have been white women in the wnba. There has been a white woman that was the face of the league. There have been white women that get more publicity just for being attractive.
And none of that caused black people to melt and not of that caused white men to pretend to care about women’s basketball
All of a sudden we now have black people rage hating and white men acting like they care
Why? What changed?

Look just at this board as a litmus test. Look at twitter. The only wnba threads are drama threads. Their only hope is to keep this up. If it goes to “just basketball” it’s over.

I’ve never seen a black or white normal female that could drain 30 plus footers That’s make it’s easier to watch or even care.

They promote the hell out of women’s college basketball now, which used to not be the case. You have this girl come long who is hitting NBA 3s with regularity and putting up insane stats and highlight reel plays. Her team is on TV all the time and she’s entertaining to watch, particularly compared to the men’s college game which lacks star power. In addition, she’s easily marketable (somewhat attractive, “girl next door” vibes, heterosexual, etc).
There, I solved the mystery for you.

There is countless men that shoot the lights off the building every night in the nba. Why wouldn’t you just watch that if that’s truly why you care?

Angel Reese got thrown down by the neck hard as hell like two days ago by a black Neanderthal and she got ejected. Was that due to Angel’s whiteness or the jealousy of her nice rack?
No but it’s still in line with her not being “like them” and also the rookie factor etc.

But not everything is it and pretending these catty fights haven’t always been in women’s shite basketball is a wild thing to me
Nobody is saying this wasn’t there before. But again, if you’re denying that they are attacking her and going after her hard every game because she’s white and the face of the league, and you’re chalking it up to “this happens every year in the wnba and in college, nothing to see here” then you’ve got your head up your arse.

If there are countless of them doing it, it’s not as interesting.
Any video of a girl player dunking would go viral. The same dunk from a dude would go unnoticed.

You just proved the point you’re arguing against lol
Men do it all the time. No women have done it until now. Hence people want to see something that nobody has ever done.

What’s the reason she’s getting treated like that?
It started with Angel Reese. The media decided they were rivals. In reality, Clark could give two shits about her.
It's also fueled by jealousy. Clark gets a lot of attention and endorsement deals that many black players don't. But that's just business, not racism.

That’s just not true at all. Post Kobe death she was the ‘star’ that would carry on his name in women’s basketball… whatever that means.
I didn’t/don’t know shite about women’s basketball or rec league ball (same thing) but her face was everywhere for a time
You're right, but Ionescu still wasn't a household name. The average person didn't know who she was.
