shite happens, we have our retards just like LSU does.
I agree with this, the bad apples always make the biggest impression though.

"UL" isn't a natural fit for ULL like "UT" is a good fit for UT-Austin/-Knoxville or UGA is for UGA. It's a commuter school that was established as a university less than 50 years ago. ULL needs to know its place.
There you go. Stay as a regional school and nothing else. Let's not make any progress or try to grow as a university. I'm sorry man, but rebuttal's like this is why this state is dead last in every category.

Anyone seen ul LAFAYETTE'S new indoor facility? They took the money they got from getting arse raped every year and built an indoor facility with NO air condition and NO heating hahahaha, they can't even use it in the summer and winter, it has no purpose except rain.

If Louisiana Tech is in the University of Louisiana system, I question Henderson's claim that ULL is far and away the most prestigious school in that system.
I'm pretty far removed from the situation but doesn't US News and World Report disagree with HH on this one?

It all comes down to the number of PhD's a school has to offer, and Tech has more. That doesn't take away the fact that UL(L) has more and better academic programs to offer.

That is all well and good, but I don't see it quantified anywhere.
If I'm not mistaken, La Tech hovers right around the Tier 3/Tier 4 border every year (some years 3, some years 4), while ULL is always in the 4th tier.
Again, not picking a fight. Just curious where the numbers are coming from.
"more and better", how?

Same with UL(L), but like I mentioned before it all comes down to the number of PhD's the school has to offer. One school can be better in every category, but if that other school has more PhD's, they get more notoriety.

ULL is not UL because virtually no one considers it "The University of Louisiana." No one considers it so because no one has ever really had a reason to consider it so. If any university should bear the moniker, it should be Northwestern State. Older university in a MUCH older town, and it has a much more colorful history.
You'll never hear that from NSU though. Why? No dick envy.

Do you know where to find the programs Tech has listed?

I get a hard copy version of the USNWR issue every year due to my job. So no link handy. Their website, maybe?

It's not all about the surroundings of the school. It's about the size of the school itself and what it has to offer. I highly doubt if NSU even has 8,000 students attending there. UL(L) is at least twice its size.

Personally speaking, if I had to send my kid to an in-state public university other than LSU, I would send him/her to ULL. Lafayette is a great place to live, and I think it's a good school. Had I lived in North Louisiana my entire life, I guess I might have a different outlook. I've spent a good bit of time in Monroe and Shreveport, and I'd definitely live in Lafayette over those two places.

I often question that when I read his post. This is another thread to where he's an idiot. I pull for UL fwiw Hendo. <3

That's why you're my bro and I hold it for you when you're too drunk to hit the bowl.

Louisiana Tech sucks
That is another name that gets under my skin. They are not Louisiana Institute of Technology and go by LA Tech. They are just "Louisiana Tech". It is the only school that I know of like that and it drives me CRAZY.
