I'm not currently watching the match so I could be off base here, but Tsonga sounds like he needs to work on his mental toughness. No excuse to fight back down 2 sets and get bagel'd in the 5th

I think it was more exhaustion. Murray was running him around, and he just couldn't quite will his body to do what he needed it to.

I bet Murray destroys Berdych.

Yeah, he had a long match with Isner, correct? He may have just given out physically.

Vesnina had no business being there, unfortunately Cibulkova had nothing in the tank after that ARad marathon.

Venus Kerber match starts off with 5 straight service games lost, first one to hold (Kerber) wins first set.

You guys watching this Federer match?

Pretty great. His back has been to the ropes twice now.

I love tennis, but I'll be honest, I have a hard time watching the actual play in the women's game. I know that's not PC, but the men's game is just so much better from a technical stand point in my estimation.

I like the women's game quite a bit, not as much as men's, but not that far off either.

My favorite match this tournament so far is ARad-Cibulkova.

I never thought anybody's serve would ever compare to Sampras, but Roger has kind of been servebotting his way to finals the last few years and is a close second now to Pete IMO.

well, cilic is absolutely giving this match away.

federer isn't really doing anything

Come on fella. I'm no fan of Roger Federer, but you lose credibility when you stop being reasonable. In the second set, it pretty much looked to me like Fed was crawling into the quasi-tanking shell that he generally reserves for matches against Rafael Nadal where he finds himself down a set or more.

He decided it wasn't comfortable in there yesterday and he came out and fought hard, and played a gutsy and generally solid three straight sets against a guy who was for the most part outplaying him.

I can give out props for that.

And one guy is 27 and the other is 34.

How is the second sentence related to the first? You get slower with age; you don't get less accurate on your serve. If you're gonna prop up Fed, do so in a way that makes sense.

Anyone here actually like Murray? I don't hate him. I'm kinda neutral. Just curious if he has any non-UK fans.

I'll root for him over Federer.
