Nadal takes the first set from Sinner in a set completely littered with unforced errors, especially down the stretch once Sinner served for the set.

The top singles guys are 100% doping and being allowed to do it

Its pretty well known. There is no way a human can play 4 hours in the current fashion, and then come back the next day and do it again.

That's kind of what I figured. I think Novak withdrew from every major when he was younger with breathing/fatigue issues and now he is this model of endurance. Yannick Noah always said Nadal was in with the Spanish cycling program. Fed is probably no angel, either.

In 2017 when out of nowhere Fed won the Australian, Miami, Indian Wells, and Wimbledon I even thought at the time wow they really got him dialed in on some top shelf shite. Nadal on several occasions taken extended time off for various minor injuries and come back like a thoroughbred horse. And as you pointed out Djokovic went from defaulting due to fitness to being an energizer bunny.

Sinner imploding it seems. Hopefully, El Peque can take something out of Rafa to make the remainder of tournament interesting.

Did musetti’s leg fall off or something? What is happening

I was asking the same question. I didn't see any of the match, but that was an insane scoreline.

No, no you couldn't have.

Bravo. People see Nadal and Djokovic and think everyone should be able to play 40 shot rallies for five hours. I think we are seeing now that a few freak endurance athletes (possibly assisted by something) can do it, but it's not normal. The sport has some issues. I don't know what can be done.

Let's just assume for the sake of argument that they are getting "assistance". You think they are the only two who have access to it? Okay.

Again...young dudes don't have access? Nadal has been a beast since he was 18. Has he been getting assistance the whole time? Maybe just maybe he's got more natural athleticism than the average player?

I'll just say it for a third time. If roids are used in tennis -- and they probably are -- they are used by more than just the top three.

Back to tennis:

I'm just catching the end of this Rafa match. He looks SOLID.

Yes I could have. He couldn’t move and he pulled out. He would have been run through with ease at that point by any college level player

Nadal has dropped 37 games thus far.
Diego has dropped 39 games...though to overall weaker players (kohlschreiber had no business being in the 3rd round).

Other than Berreteni (who has one fewer match), the above two have dropped the fewest games.

Maybe you're using roids as an all encompassing term but I don't think any of them are taking steroids like bodybuilders. I think they're blood doping like cyclists.

Agreed, I don't think traditional steroids would help much in the sport, although people always accuse Serena of using them.

Fanduel has some interesting double chance bets. You could take Djokovic/Tsitsipas to win the tournament at +200.

Did you see Serena next to Verstappen at the end of Monaco? Dudes not big but he is 5’11”

That’s an odd angle that makes her look bigger but still

You could Venmo me that cash instead of donating to FD.

Regarding the doping, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to assume that the top players who already have advantages in travel, coaching, training, etc, etc… also have access to (and can afford) the best doctors and doping methods.

Correct. Tennis is the most inequitable sport on the planet. Its a completely unlevel playing field, and doping is no different
