Heard the same thing. CBA should own any division they play except for D1, but they could beat a few of those teams as well.

PBS, ND and U-High might have something to say about that one kemosabe...

Out of those teams, STM seems most likely to move up. ECA could but they won't.

Every indication I have is that ECA is playing up... considering they have won titles in 1A, 2A, 3A and 5A over the years... and STM has not... what in heavens name makes STM more likely to move up... OH yeah... nevermind

U-High starts #89 in the HSFB 100... 100-76 were released today, 75-51 will be released tomorrow, 50-26 on Monday, and the top 25 on Tuesday

U-High can hang with CBA but not ND. ND will be alright but not like they have been in the past.

Well we will know more about these teams because they have a couple common opponents, but CBA decided to schedule some top dogs to start their year so I like the experience they will gain early to help in the post season. Look at D2 last year. The undefeated team got waxed by the two loss team because the undefeated team played cupcakes most the year while the two loss team played the toughest 5 game stretch in the state.

I looked and thought it was so funny that Southlake was just a few spots ahead of UHigh. I don't know how those two schools should ever be ranked so close, and I'm not knocking UHigh when I say that.

If they play up, good. STM just plays close to 5-A enrollment. They split a couple of games last year so they are about level, not saying STM is better.

I actually heard on the radio the other day that Notre Dame will have one of its best defenses it's had over the last 14 years. Take that FWIW. And coach cook is one of the best coaches in the state. I wouldn't count them out.

Well these are the same guys who said that they wouldn't be shocked if Ponchatoula beat Acadiana in the second round of the playoffs last year. So ill take what they say with a grain of salt. It should be an interesting year regardless.

They will. Their D-Line might be the best ever. Their offense however will be very weak. Won't have the firepower to keep up with PBS or U-High.

Acadiana will be POTENT this coming football season. The new Qb can play ball followed by a talented back field and an explosive o-line that consists of LSU commit TE Bry'keithan Mouton (who I wouldn't be surprised to see at a little tailback this year). They return a defensive back field, including the 2013 5A All state defensive MVP, that shut down 4 of the most powerful offensive passing attacks in the State in 2013.

Who is the new qb? And I know they played 4 running backs last year, so Solomon and Duhon (who really only played in short yardage situations) are coming back. Malik Eugene gonna play some RB along with defense? Surely that makes more sense than Mouton playing halfback. I'm not sold on this backfield yet. Defense should be solid if they shore up the front 4.

Did Holy Cross lose that much talent to go from deep playoffs to out of the top 50?

The DL will be good but we moved a RB to LB so that may be a work in progress. The entire secondary is new.
