Is too early to start the LeBron has no help narrative this year? Seems like the fanbois are ready to cue that one up.

After KD shows him how to 3PEAT this year maybe he goes to LA so they can have a shot at winning.

Not necessarily.

OKC was fine without Durant. The Jazz were fine without Hayward. They clearly took a hit and were worse, but not a devastating fall to bottom feeders like LeBron leaving the Cavs.

Bulls barely missed a beat replacing MJ with Pete Myers.

Are they? Seems like they can’t get out the first round...and this year they are really struggling out the gate.

The realistic take is that the Warriors have way more talent than any other team in the league.

LeBron and the Lakers have young guys and this season is about gelling, getting a top level FA with their max this offseason, hoping the Warriors break up a bit and then going for the gold next year.

That would be the case for just about any team that loses their star player.
Except for, like, the 93-94 Bulls.

Way better than the Cavs either time LeBron left. OKC would obviously be better with Durant, but being a playoff team is very different from the Cavs being the worst team in the league for multiple years.

Not sure anyone expected different. They lose the best player and added a bunch of role players.

Look for Love, JR, Hill and Korver all to be moved to signal the start of the rebuild pretty soon

Both JR and Hill are on the hook for 2 more years at over 15 mil per year. No one wants those contracts.

Korver is only 7 million, so maybe they can move him.

Love is making 30 million a year through 2023. I don't know what team wants a piece of that. He's good, but not at that price if you want to be a legit contender.

Well to be fair, their new leader was groomed by the GOAT, not LeBron James.

Love, Million Dollar man Tristan Thompson, George Hill, JR Smith, and Osman?

They should still be competitive. WTF?

Why should they be competitive? That's one player who would start for most playoff teams.

So 35 year LeBron can ride the coattails?

That is some 4D chess by the Akron Hammer.

Here's a real plan for the Cavs.

Suck this year and the next, give your young guys lots of playing time. Sort out who you want to keep.

Hit on higher draft picks you get for sucking. Acquire two good young players.

Two offseasons, almost 40 million comes off your cap when JR, Hill and Korver's deals expire at the same time. Add smart, midlevel FA's to your core of Love and high draft picks and you're back in the playoffs, maybe contending if you really hit a home run with a high pick.

The first round isn’t anywhere near the cellar.

The word fine means something. As does great. As does mediocre.

OKC was fine losing Durant. This is now 3 years later.

Both can be cut after this year with only about a 2 million dead cap hit.

Didn’t Dan think that Love was good enough to build around?

Chances that LeBron buys the Cavs sometime down the road?

Bottom>>>Middle in the NBA. At least as far as team building. And for the record, first round is mediocre.

If OKC fails again to leave the first round, where do they go from there?

Our players are basically too dumb to run an offense and too dumb to run aggressive defense if you read the post game quotes.
