This is one of the biggest upsets in the last decade.
It might be the biggest. I can't think of anything else.
Federer must be pumped up now. If he wins this Wimbledon he'll take the #1 ranking back, letting him beat Sampras' record of weeks at #1. He's definitely capable of taking Novak out on grass. I think that grass is still Djokovic's worst surface

I think this is FEDS last shot. I would love a RODDICK OR Murray / Fed Final.

Federer takes the #2 ranking back after Wimbledon thanks to this upset also.

Which shows the stupidity of the ranking system.

It doesn't change that much for Federer. He's on Djoker's side. He has to beat him. I'm not sure that he can.

I don't think it's stupid. You earn points and you get to keep them for one year. Pretty straightforward.

Did Nadal just serve horrible or get passed?

I will say that I love his strategy. He is basically going for broke on every return game knowing he is still up a break.
I'm bummed that Rafa is out. But props to Rosol. Sounds like he came out with his balls to the wall hat on, and never took it off.

He didn't get gassed.

WOW!!!!!!!!!! Maybe Rafa has lost a step. He didn't look that good at the French Final after the 1st two sets. The only thing that saved him was a rain delay till the next day.
Great theory. Rafa lost a step, and it happened during the changeover after the second set of the French Open final.
Brilliant!

At least Rafa picked up his racket and gave it to him instead of being the gigantic douchebag that he was during the game.
Bumping into him like that switching sides was so damn JV. As was Rafa crying about him moving during his serve.
Makes me hate Rafa even more.

I think that Federer is more likely to beat Djokovic at Wimbledon than anywhere else, and with no Rafa in the final this might be his best shot at ever winning another major.

FAIL..... The rain delay was in the 4th set and delayed it till the next day.

The greatest player of this generation still proves to be Fed.
Not only the number of majors won, but number of finals in a row and semis in a row streak is truly remarkable.

Bobbyray gonna come at you for that

Don't care, but the measures heavily way in favor for Fed. Pretty straight forward and Nadal's loss demonstrates just how difficult it is to keep getting to finals and semis.
Edit: this coming from a guy who is incredibly disappointed how tennis has slowed down the grass/hardcourts play. The contrast btn those courts and clay is much less than the 60's-90's era.

I believe he was replying to the "he lost a step at Roland Garros" saying that it happened during the changeover in the 2nd set, as he lost the 3rd set and got bailed out in the 4th set.

He still got BAILED OUT. If the match would have been able to continue Novack waxes his arse.

Which is why he was saying it (lost step) happened during the 2nd set changeover, not that the rain delayed it after the 2nd set.

If YOU don't think Rafa DIDN'T get a break by the match being moved to the next day , then YOU are just stupid.
