Not to mention with the Chiefs playing poorly under Mahomes, and the Raiders easy schedule

Combined opponent record of every AFC playoff team:

Chiefs: 45-32-1 (.578)
Texans: 41-37 (.523)
Colts: 33-38 (.465)
Ravens: 31-36-1 (.456)
Patriots: 24-50 (.324)
Bills: 22-47 (.319)

So the Chiefs have:
--Played one of the toughest schedules
--Mahomes has played on a gimp ankle since Week 1
--Mahomes has missed 2.5 games

Yet the Chiefs are 6-3 and have the upcoming schedule:

Titans (4-5)
Chargers (4-6)
Raiders (5-4) (Chiefs hold head-to-head)
Patriots (8-1)
Broncos (3-6)
Bears (3-5)
Chargers (4-6)

With Mahomes back and healthy, and the meat of our schedule behind us, I see no way Oakland wins the AFC West

Chiefs SOS ranks 7th, Raiders 3rd. Raiders also played 6 straight road games over 45 days.

The Chiefs lead the Raiders by a game and have already beaten them H2H. They also just got their MVP QB back and their starting LT will be back after the bye-week. They're only getting better.

Don't know if they win the west but gruden has them looking like a good team.

Wait till they get a couple receivers and a few pieces on defense.

John gruden can coach

Derek Carr himself admits that the Chiefs own him/y'all.

Good luck

That's all they said about Rivers in Oakland last night too. News flash, past is irrelevant.

There was a ton of bashing of him and mayock from the neck beard twitter types. I’m glad he’s doing well. That definitely wasn’t an easy organization to turn around.

This is why PFF is not a good supplement for actually watching football games

It wasn't that big of a turnaround for Gruden. He inherited a team 2017 6-10, 2016 12-4, and 2015 7-9. Jack Del Rio had that team for 3 years and went 25-23. Not awful compared to 2003-2014 being absolutely putrid besides 2 8-8 seasons.

Yeah, Mahomes was I think 6th or 7th before those 2 bad games he lost vs Colts and Texans pre-injury and those dropped him decently, Lions game really hurt his grade too.

Well they should be 7-4 after the next two weeks, so we will see what happens after that. Maybe a wild card.

Remaining Chiefs-Raiders game is at Arrowhead. Derek Carr's career record at Arrowhead 0-5. Derek Carr's career record facing Mahomes anywhere 0-3.

Philip Rivers had won 6 straight in Oakland until last night too. Those things mean nothing.

I wasn't a fan. I was in the beginning but the Bucs got worse and worse the longer he was there. It definitely appeared that the game had evolved past him. Good for him to come back and prove us wrong though. So far anyway. I figured it was going to be a pretty bad hire.
