Well they need a former guard as a first time head coach to complete the GSW model.

Or just former Suns PGs. Next up Marbury if things don’t pan out.

Kinda feel like Vaughn earned the job.

It is definitely a bold hire. Could go one of two ways, amazing or disastrous.

He's a smart guy and will get automatic respect as a 2 time MVP.

But he's never coached, never been an assistant. Never really served in a FO except for as a "consultant".

I'm not sure I want a coach learning on the fly with two personalities like Durant and Kyrie, but it certainly is interesting, and outside the box, instead of the same old retreads.

He apparently really didn't want to be a head coach. Tsai and Marks had to work on him for weeks...

In recent weeks, Nets owner Joe Tsai and general manager Sean Marks have been aggressive in recruiting Nash to make the leap that he had so far resisted in his retirement: head coaching.

Hopefully he can teach Kyrie that passing the ball to teammates is a part of the game of basketball.

There's a modern history of retired guards getting head coaching jobs without stints as assistant coaches, including Doc Rivers (Magic), Isiah Thomas (Pacers), Mark Jackson and Steve Kerr (Warriors) and Jason Kidd (Nets).

Pretty cool for Nash, although getting Kyrie in your first coaching job does not sound great
