I don't care about the NBA at all except for maybe a few games and the playoffs. I have no interest at all, I enjoy watching college games much more. The season is far to long, players are paid far to much, and just....it feels so pointless watching. Win or lose who really cares?

I would have loved to watch the NBA in the Jordan era and when it was really fun but I have 0 interest in getting into it.

I feel the same about the MLB. I think the NBA and MLB are two of the most worthless organizations in the nation.

What? His decline in athletecism is obvious.

This is true with any athlete getting older. The thing about Kobe is that he still the best player on championship teams. Jordan, the GOAT, no doubt lost athletecism post baseball but he still led his team to championships.

The sign of an average or below average player is one who cant compete after their prime. JMHO

Now I know it's not PC to say this, but this is just how it is: Not enough white people in the NBA. That's why so many people, particularly in the South, refuse to watch it.

I'll tell you what kills my interest even more is that players can be drafted straight outta high school. I love being able to watch players who I watched in college play in the NFL. You can't do that with either NBA or MLB for a lot of the players because they come straight out of high school. I don't care the advantages of the system, I hate it and its one of the reasons I hate the NBA

You realize this is how Naismith intended the game to be, right? A non-contact game.

I really don't care what Naismith intended. And anyways, the rules don't suggest this at all. A screen is by nature based on contact. Also, the theory of verticality dictates you can jump straight up no matter what, even if you make contact with a guy driving to the basket.

Besides, others have already pointed out the defensive three second rule, the fact that you can't play a true zone defense in the NBA, and the fact that they rarely call traveling anymore.

All of these things point toward the basic truth that I was trying to highlight, which is that the NBA only really cares about high scoring, because it is a star-driven league.

The more points the stars score, the more tickets they sell and the more jerseys they sell.

At least, that is the NBA's theory. But I'm not sure it is true.

i thought they were playing a little too well for their collective ages earlier in teh year

i knew it was pointless to tell you that but father time always wins

they need to shut it down for a while and make a push to peak closer to playoff time

that the NBA instituted a rule a few years ago where players can no longer be drafted straighht out of high school and are only draft-eligible when they are one year removed from their high school graduation

I didn't know that but still sorta kills the sport for me since they only have to play one year of college.

It just blows my mind the lack of support this team gets in Louisiana.

why? what makes you think lousiana is a basketball state?
