All they show is him banging drivers on the range and immediately looking down to see what his carry distance is. It’s comical
Bryson has tried his entire career to figure how to beat the game of golf without learning how to play the game of golf. If he spent as much time as he does over-thinking things like barometric pressure, dew point, and trackman data, he'd be much better at the nuances of the game than he is. His game inside 100 yards leaves a lot to be desired. Hard to be better in that area when his entire focus seems to be swinging as hard as he can every time he swings.

He’s got way too much spin on his shorter irons

Exactly. You have to have a mastery of the repetition and the feel and ability to create shots. He’s programmed the feel shots out of the game.

I love how we’re talking about Bryson like he’s some scrub.

He’s not a scrub. But he’s being pumped up as golf’s next big thing and at this point has the same amount of majors as Danny Willett and Rich Beem.

How about Bernhard Langer making the cut at -3??

There is a difference between being really good at golf, which he undeniably is, and rewriting how golf is played like he is hyped up.
Give me Colin morikawa or Justin thomas’ game over brysons.

Again, I’m not saying he’s terrible or bad. In fact he’s quite good. But I’m sitting here watching this supposed “distance freak show” only out drive Rahm by 10 yards per hole and with way less accuracy.
He’s probably going to win 2-3 more majors with that distance as he will have good weeks just like he did at the US Open. But he could win 5-10 more if he could figure out how to play world class golf inside of 100 yards.

I think that was a once in a lifetime miracle.

That’s the thing that kills me about him. I would say it’s media hype but he loves the attention
Finau, Rahm and many more guys hit bombs too.

I am NOT surprised by his poor play so far ... WAYY to much talking/attention this week
Even the best players struggle talking that much
As said above, he loves the attention so feeds it with his bullshite

If I am being honest, I don’t like him because of how slow he plays. The rest of it makes me hate him

And how many golf tournaments have your worked for with major networks. Including a PGA Championship, a Women's U.S. Open, & a Senior Open. They don't hire you because you can spell golf. Also, I've been as low as a 4 cap. And you?

I agree with both of you.
