The Heisman has become a flavor of the month contest

A couple of weeks ago, CJ Stroud was the it guy. “If he beats Michigan, it’s his”. Ohio st lost so let’s finds a new shiny toy. That new toy was Caleb Williams until USC lost. Now it’s Max Duggan. If TCU loses, I’m guessing people will flock to Stetson Bennett.
No longer are the players are judge for the whole season body of work. It’s all about the last game. If lose the last game, you’re overrated. Doesn’t matter if you’ve been crushing it all season. If you win the last game, you’re the best.

Shame that Corum got hurt. He's been great all year long

At this point, give it to Frank Harris. No one from the biggest contenders deserves it, so give it to the guy with the most impressive season team ranking be damned.

100% agree. Part of the problem is any a-hole can be a Heisman winner.

I mean...this year is an exception to the rule. The reason why people are waiting to see how players perform in the last week or two of the season is because absolutely no one has separated themselves from the pack. Last year it was either going to be C.J. Stroud or Bryce Young by this week in the season. The year before, DeVonta Smith had all but wrapped it up; same thing for Joe Burrow in 2019.
This year no one player has truly dominated the competition quite like they need to to make a definitive argument for the Heisman.

The virgin is correct
We’ve gotten used to a easily and clearly defined heisman winner.
This year isn’t easy. That doesn’t mean there’s something wrong.
Better than just giving it to the OU QB with monster bullshite numbers.

Good thing Burrow didn’t lose

It is supposed to go to the best player. It has seemed to morph to the best player on a hot team going to the playoffs.
Give it to Bijan Robinson and call it a day.
