Unless Oregon somehow loses a game, I honestly don't see another Pac-12 team in the Rose.

I'd say that an undefeated ND would be hard to pass up... otherwise, Nebraska's all-time greatest rival, Oklahoma.

They aren't married to ANY and all Pac-12 teams - Michigan - Texas??? Rose Bowl remember, when they lost USC to the national title game.

I don't think they had a choice that year, Texas jumped Cal in the final BCS standings & were in the top4 which was an auto bid.

What was OU WAZZU reasoning? I can't remember unless the MNCG was Fiesta.

Ohio State UF maybe?

Oregon will be the interesting at-large if they somehow lose the Pac-12 champ game as lose out for the National Title game AND the Rose Bowl.

If ND/Bama - then Oregon in the Sugar against SEC 2nd would be interesting.

As far as not taking SEC team in Sugar look at attendance last year

so Notre Dame won't boost attendance at the Sugar Bowl, but will for the Rose Bowl?

Texas and OU disagree

2002: when OU went to the Rose, Ohio State was in the BCS CG (Fiesta Bowl that year). The Orange Bowl had the first pick and took Iowa. There can not be 3 teams from the same conference in the BCS so the Rose took OU.

2004: Texas and Utah were both guarenteed spots in the BCS so there were technically no at-large spots. USC was in the Orange Bowl title game, so the Rose took Texas over Utah. They were livid they could not take Cal.

If KState, I see Oregon going to Fiesta to replace them

If Oregon wins the Pac 12 there are only 2 spots for them: BCS CG or Rose Bowl. The Rose Bowl does have to take the Pac 12 champ unless they are in the BCS CG.

Iowa-GT was 2009

Iowa played USC in Orange in 2002, the year OU-WSU was in the Rose

at the time the Orange was tied to either the Big East or ACC champ. They lost Miami and had first pick, they took Iowa, then USC.

He was saying if Oregon loses the Pac-12 Title game...and the BCS National Title game goes to K-State over ND.

Oregon is out of NT and Rose...interesting 1-loss (probably top 4 auto) at-large.

They had a weird rule at the time that if two bowls wanted the same team USC, the bowl (Orange/Sugar/Rose) with the highest payout got the team.
