Looking more and more like it'll be Nebraska vs. Notre Dame in the Rose Bowl. If Oregon runs the table and ends up in the BCSCG as expected, the Rose Bowl offiials are not obligated to take another Pac-12 team. They will get first selection since they miss out on the Pac-12 champ, so their most likely choice would be ND.

What about the Fiesta Bowl and the Sugar Bows? Dont they get first dibs at at-larges in this situation?

If Bama wins out, Oregon would have to jump them in the BCS poll to #1.

The bowl losing the No. 1 team gets the first replacement pick, and the bowl losing the No. 2 team gets the second replacement pick.

Notre Dame would probably go 1st as an at-large to the Sugar if they only have 1-loss or are undefeated.

Rose would get the next pick by virtue of losing Oregon.

Oregon St. vs. Nebraska. Notre Dame would end up at the Fiesta bowl.

The Sugar will take an SEC team as replacement I bet and Rose will take Notre Dame, pressure from Disney also will get ND there.

not obligated, but they have a long standing relationship with the Pac12.

not if Alabama remains undefeated and ranked #1. The Sugar Bowl would have first pick in that case.

why would the Sugar take an SEC team, but the Rose won't take a Pac 12 team? The Sugar doesn't go on and on and has not blocked playoffs in order to protect that traditional relationship.

If that's the case...Rose would probably take Notre Dame next in the pecking order with their 2nd team assured the Big10 champ tie-in.

Notre Dame - Nebraska is then very likely.

What don't you guys get about Pac 12 vs. Big Ten ONLY?

Champ only.

Rose Bowl isn't obligated to take scrubs. They can take whomever they want if the Pac-12 Champ isn't there.

That's only if both champions aren't involved in BCSNCG, like last year.

As far as not taking SEC team in Sugar look at attendance last year, they don't want to take a chance. Plus they want SEC/Southern influence as much as possible.

It does NOT have to be Pac 12 vs. Big Ten only.

IF the Pac 12 champ is in the BCSCG, the bowl committee can choose a different team. No way does the committee choose Oregon St. over ND.

Disney has more pull than Delany does on this one.

Exactly. People are reading WAY too much into the Rose Bowls stance and Pac10/Big10 history.

That's for the champions to meet. That's the history.

They aren't married to ANY and all Pac-12 teams - Michigan - Texas??? Rose Bowl remember, when they lost USC to the national title game.
