played in 2-day presidents cup tourny and me and my pads finished second gross in the A flight by one stroke. first in net.

First day was best ball--I shot 84. Second day was modified shamble. Each partner hits a tee shot, you pick the best one and then each play your own ball from that point on and record your best ball score. Hard to say exactly what your score is because sometimes you play the other guys' drive. I played really well on day two and figured I would have shot 78-79 playign my own ball. We used almost all of my tee shots save for 3-4. I didn't lose a ball all day which is a rarity for me. had three natural birdies.

It got so bad that I was hitting balls off the grass right next to the back rope.

I'm good at hitting out of divots now.

The air conditioning is broken in my building right now, so if the rain stops I'm going back out for another round.

Hopefully they get new range balls too. Those orlimar ones don't have dimples anymore.

Never really have this problem. Range on Siegen might have the worst driving range balls in the city.

LSU is decent for me because it is close, cheap/free and they never minded when I would hit outside the ropes.

76 Sat, 77 Sun; both at Memphis National. Sat was on Champions course, Sun on Legends. Not sure anyone else knows this course, but figured some of the Memphis people might be familiar. Playing Spring Creek Ranch in a MS State alum tourney(two buddies are alums) today

No dimples is okay, but when 10% of your bucket is cut balls...that's an issue. Most people get tired most of the way through a large bucket so I just take theirs after they leave.

I always look for the shiniest group of balls in the basket to dig out of.

Speaking of the LSU range...There are range balls literally ALL OVER the course. Do people just whack them for fun out there?

Just for comparison, what's the alumni rate at LSU?

UGA is around $60, I think and that seems kind of steep.

I like how you assume that I was in the fairway at all.

They were great today, actually.

It was so dry about 2 weeks ago that the ground looked like this in places:

blank screen?

and I just don't want to spend my 15 bucks there if the fairways/greens aren't tour quality

LSU is pretty good quality for $15. you could go get ripped off at Webb.

LSU Alum rate: $23 + $14 cart on weekends.

I can't stand webb. I'd like it a hell of a lot more if they had a driving range
