Unfortunately, I agree with this. I think that Daniels is easily the best player in the country, though, but that hasn’t been the main criterion in the decision for as long as I can remember.

Yeah, the Heisman turned into a college MVP award a long time ago. Doesn't mean a player can't break through the mold but it's going to have to be Ohtani-like spectacular or a year where nothing traditional stands out.

He was and they lost 3 games including getting beat down by UH (and Tom Herman) this same week. He did however get a lot of press early that season, had a monster game against FSU and a close loss to Clemson.
