Tulane, they're both top 10 BCS teams. Neither the orange or sugar had that. It s a better BCS match up on paper.

Not arguing the paper. But to look at the score (and assuming the trend continues), how can you still say it was the better matchup. It's not about the ranking or pregame hype. If both teams are playing mistake free, good football and the game is close and exciting, that to me is a good matchup. Not the pregame ranking proximity. This is fairly obvious

LSU only beat miss at by 17 but beat arky by 30, does that mean miss st was a better matchup

When the next reorg happens and the plus 1 is added, the Cotton BOwl will get in. The Big 10 & Pac 10 will keep their tie in the Rose and spit out all the money from the BCS in name of tradition. Yet, their teams, if eligible will play in BCS bowls and get the revenue from them.
The Rose Bowl will be antiquated big bowl between MD and PAC. Their top teams surely won't make it past 1 or 2 seeds. they are safe with their parade and conract and tradition.

Why do they have to win? If they lose by a touchdown this game has already been just as good as the Sugar bowl and way better than the Orange. OT with the quality of teams like V-tech and Michigan just doesn't impress me. At all.
