Speaking of Freeman, he's been great, but he couldn't strike out earlier in the game with runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs

I can't tease Ankiel, as his transformation from bust pitcher to hitter at the MLB level is remarkable imho.
Joe Savery, an absolute beast pitcher for Rice, yet flop as an Phil minor league arm, is attempting the switch himself.

If the Mets played to the level of their payroll the NL East could challenge the AL Beast as best division in baseball.

But after Ankiel's backstop yips tosses as a Card, he has my full respect now, even if a journeyman hitter..what an epic transformation.
And Melky is sorta mashing this year..think Phils watching him too.
