Great job to take both games against the Stros. Hanson and Lowe both threw great games and the bullpen did its usual great job as well. Props to Gearrin for finding a way to get out of the 11th yesterday. Of course, great job by Mac to do something not many people in this game have done. The Braves record in the month of May is now 12-4 and they are only 1 1/2 games behind the Phils for 1st place. The next two days are out west against the DBacks before heading to face the Angels. Pitching matchups for this short 2 game series are:
Tonight: Teheran vs Saunders
Tomorrow: Jurrjens vs Collmenter
Both games are at 8:40 central time
Saunders has struggled mightily this year although the Braves have been known to have troubles against soft throwing lefties the last few years. Collmenter will only be making his 2nd start of the year. With a good game by Julio tonight, I like the Braves chances to keep this 4 game win streak going and extend it to 6.
Lineup for tonight's game:
Prado
Heyward
Chipper
Mac
Uggla
Freeman
Gonzo
McLouth
Let's do this shite

I had never heard of him either
He started out in the bullpen but made his first start in his last outing. He was always a starter in the minors.
So far this year he's thrown 20 innings with an ERA of .90 and only walked 1, pretty impressive. Still going to jump all over his arse.

It's squeeze week across the majors. Every team in baseball played 10 games in 10 days in a 3-2-2-3 format starting last Friday.
