About 15/25 players on this roster are totally irrelevant.

Inciarte, Freeman, the Cubans and I guess Jace are the only interesting offensive players on the team and a few of those are really stretching it. Hopefully get to see Mallex and Albies and maybe Swanson later.

Pitching will be what's interesting if we get to see Blair, Folty, Newcomb, Sims, etc.

We are still a long way away from the Rome group of arms/bats though which will be when we should really see a jump.

I'm guessing the earliest we see any of those Rome guys is late 2017. You agree or disagree?

Yes most will be in Rome all year most likely, so late 2017 seems like a realistic target for the fastest movers. Fried and Touki probably the most likely guys to get promoted during the year.

Spent all day at the Masters opening practice round and was listening to the end of the game driving home on I-20. Hope that ending was an anomaly.

Jace is exciting because he's athletic and young, and if he can increase his value then he could be a good trade piece later on once Swanson/Albies develop.

Athletic young and not able to hit doesn't excite me much.

Jace is not an every day player obviously but I think he could be an extra piece on a future championship-level team.

I think it's probably more likely Jace is on the next great Braves team than Garcia.

Yeah, I don't think either will be part of the future. I like Garcia a hell of a lot more than Jace though.

Garcia is 30. Jace is 25.

What is your point? One can hit. The other cant.

That the one who is 30 is less likely to be a valuable part of a Braves championship-level time since that won't happen for another 2-3 years at least.

Also I think Jace hit decently in the early part of last year before he apparently had an injury that he didn't tell the team about.

If you think Jace is part of the plans for the Braves future, I don't know what to tell you.

I don't think he's in the plans as a starter and maybe not at all. But I'm agreeing with volfan that he's more likely than Garcia to be a bench contributor on a good Braves team in the future.

Hey Braves fans

I'm not trying to be a dick about this, but I was checking out the preview for today's game and noticed that Bud Norris is your number two starter.

Bud Norris! I know there's a rebuild going on, but are there some guys hurt or something?
