What I'm saying though is that the entire team idolized Chipper last year, he picks against them in a series and all of the sudden everybody hates him.

Hi Broski, catch the game yesterday? Know whose still playing tomorrow? Guess who was eliminated first? If you had any nuts to back up their claims guess who'd be banned right now?

You have to let McCann and Maholm walk at those prices. All offseason money needs to be focused on the starting rotation. We started Freddy Garcia in an elimination game. Even though he preformed well, it's a damn shame your season rests on the shoulders of someone who couldn't get a job a few months earlier. It needs to be done through free agency as well. Our farm system isnt what it was a few years ago. It needs a chance to replenish. As far as the lineup, you just have to hope Simmons and Heyward continue to impress and that BJ somehow resembles what he once was.

Mark Bowman on twitter: @pbarnes0525 McCann is the easy one. Been obvious for a while he's gone. I expect either B.J. or Uggla to be traded. Uggla more likely

Fredi Gonzalez says he has no regrets about not using Kimbrel in Game 4. More to come on LINK later today.

Hopefully something interesting comes out of today

None of the players showed up to the clubhouse during media availability. Apparently someone in the press must have predicted Dodgers in 4

Apparently, no one wanted to come out and publicly have to call Fredi an idiot yet when asked questions about his decision making.

Here's something I think could be feasible, and would make this team really strong:

Move Uggla for anything. Whoever will pay the most of the rest of his salary and call it a win.

Sign Choo. He's not young, but not old. He's an on-base machine. He's a bad CF, but we can play him in RF and bat him leadoff.

Slot JHey in CF, in the 2-hole. Upton 3. Gattis/Freeman 4/5 depending on SP.

That's a pretty damn good lineup. Choo won't be cheap, but he won't be over the top expensive either, IMO.

Would you pay 5 years/$100 million?

Is that what people are expecting him to get?

Obviously we can't afford that. I figured he'd be more in the 10/12 a year range.

Yeah he'll probably get 5 years, $90-100 million if I had to guess. What do you do with BJ in your scenario?

Unfortunately, we are stuck with Bossman Jr in center field.

Hopefully it doesn't turn into an Uggla situation where we lower our standards to "anything better than an albatross" and he still fails to meet them.

Yeah, that's the tough call. You can call around, see if ANYONE thinks he's got any value. But even then, you're likely eating salary.

But this was all based on my assumption that Choo wouldn't get as much as Boras seems to think he will.

Then again, Boras said the same shite about Michael Bourn and only got 48 mil for him.

Choo is a lot better than Bourn though
