Also, Nick Swisher looking for Jayson Werth money, $20 million per year, is just hilarious.

Wren should offer him $12 million plus a guarantee that at least one camera will be on him at all times.

I'd rather have Victorino instead of Swisher

As he should be, but the time to win is now. I'm willing to pay the high prices this offseason.

That's like preferring herpes over gonorrhea.

Twins aren't going to move Willingham, if they were they probably would have done it at the deadline.

Swisher isn't going to get near 20 million he will probably land in the 12-15 million a year though. I don't see Yankees offering it to him either really. I think we bring back Ibanez, have Jones, Ichiro and platoon with Brett taking over his usual spot in the OF.

Nick Swisher is awesome.

One of my favorite non-Braves.

Do the Braves make an attempt at Hamilton? He is from North Carolina I believe.... What is that a 6 hour drive, same as Baton Rouge to Houston?

He's going to get more money than we would ever be willing to spend on him. I hope for his sake he isn't stupid enough to sign with someone like the Mets or Red Sox though. He'd be better off with a small market team where there won't be as much stress.

Best option on market and an upgrade over Willingham/Pagan as he is a legit middle of the order bat..... 16 million a year that they would throw at those two options. Although Hamilton likely signs a contract way north of 16m per year

No way Braves will sign someone that fragile at that price and length. Signing Hamilton would leave them with no money for the other spot either.

They've had Chipper an they currently have Heyward. If one team know what to do with fragile players it is the Braves (although Heyward saw action in what 150-155 games?)

Heyward played 156 this year without an injury.

Hamilton played in 151.... So is the difference in 5 games that big a deal?

No one is suggesting we sign Heyward to a $100M+ deal over 5 years.

Heyward's situation and Hamilton's couldn't be any more different.

Heyward will be looking for a mega deal by time Hamiltons was ending if Braves signed him

Hamilton I doubt gets 100m from anyone I am starting to think 5 years 85-90 million right now. Of course never thought Werth would get that contract either.
