BREAKING NEWS: Frank Wren has announced that Bobby Cox will manage the Future Stars during the "Braves All Stars vs Future Stars Game" on April 3rd in Gwinnett!

Opening the door for a comeback.

I'll have to try to make it to that one.

Puppy Bowl was great. Super Bowl was better. Baseball starting in a couple weeks is even better!

Yo Swamps, what are the O's fans saying about the Guthrie trade.

Didn't know he got traded but I now will have some entertainment for the morning

The Orioles are retarded. Trade makes no sense. It seems like they refuse to build for the future around Machado and Bundy even though that is the only chance they have of being successful in the next decade.

They won't be saving much.

Hammel and Lindstrom are going to cost $8.35M this year

Guth and whoever Lindstrom replaces in the pen will cost about $8.75M

Just a stupid and unnecessary move by a shitty organization. The only positive is Hammel is under control through next year but what does that do for you? Not much at all.

Why are the women in Alpharetta always so happy? Because they are always so close to Cumming.

Yeah, it's a pretty terrible trade for Baltimore. I don't see Hammel being a starter either...

So they're going to go with...

Matusz
Wada
Chen
Britton
Arrieta??

Weak and too many left-handers IMO.

I guess

Either way, makes no sense for a team that isn't competing this year. Don't make moves just for the sake of making them. Make moves to put your team in the best position to be successful.

And we complain as Braves fans. I couldn't imagine being a fan of that team.

What makes him think he can do that?

I don't have insider anymore so I can't read it fwiw so it makes more sense if he's not including some of the top pitchers.

Here's his report:

They have reaped as little from the draft the past two years as anyone, taking low-ceiling college guys with early picks, staying at or under MLB's bonus recommendations and having less luck on the international market. It's telling that the major question on every position-player prospect in their top 10 is whether he'll hit.
