I just hope we go after a legit LF next year. Whether that is a free agent or someone in a trade.

no doubt. Dream scenario is we somehow manage to re-sign Bourne to a favorable contract, and we find a really good LF via free agency. I know the upcoming season hasn't started yet, but is there a projected FA list for this upcoming off-season?

The thing is, Boras is Bourn's agent so if we sign him, it won't be to a favorable contract. And that would pretty much mean we wouldn't have the money to sign a good LF.
That's why I want to trade Jurrjens for a top minor league CF that will be ready to take over after Bourn leaves.

The admin thought I was, but I've actually been pretty friendly to everyone besides this one douche.
I try to stay as nice as possible when dealing with Jones' value, because they get pissy over that.
When they asked what I would give up, I told them more than I actually would, and they still didn't think it was even close to being enough for Jones.
It's crazy the amount of value they put on the guy that has a lower career OPS than Martin Prado.

As for Chipper's replacement, I mean it really depends on if he retires or not. I've never said this in years previous, but I really think this will be his last.
If Prado stays, he'll take over next year, then I think we probably let him go in Free Agency. You then expect Joe Terdoslavich to take over in 2014, but this will be his first year in the minors as a full-time 3B and played almost exclusively at 1B last year.
In a perfect world, he plays for a year or two and Salcedo is ready to become the superstar he has the opportunity to be. He's the wildcard here. This is going to be a big year for him.
If Prado is traded, who fricking knows. Maybe Terd would be ready to play 3B in the bigs next year. He is already 23. I don't see Prado getting traded anymore though.

Ok...how about this. Teheran/Prado/Minor/Salcedo for Jones and a VHS recording of that episode of Seinfeld where Elaine refused to take off her Orioles cap at the Yankees game. That sounds like a fair deal to me.

I don't even know why the frick we're going after that guy. The dude had the exact same OBP as Heyward this year, and Heyward was complete shite.
I guess this wouldn't matter as much if he hit lower in the order but still.
